I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Rodaina Ahmed. She was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and took the time to thoroughly understand my skin concern. I left feeling reassured and much more confident about my skin care plan. Dr. Ahmed is truly one of the best doctors I’ve seen, and I really appreciate her thoughtful, patient-centered approach. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for expert dermatologic care.
Saw Dr. Parikh for my first ever annual visit and he was so attentive, charismatic, and explained everything he was doing throughout the process of my skin check. I was literally out of there in 15 minutes. Plus one for being a safe and affirming space for trans/queer patients like me. Also gave lots of free goodies to try at home when I asked about dry skin!
I used to love this place. I was a patient for 27 years. I called to cancel because I was sick, and they charged me a no-show fee, saying that I had to give them 24 hours ' notice. They were extremely rude when I tried to get them to refund it and claimed I should have come in sick. I could not breathe and had to see a doctor for that.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Sherwin Parikh at Tribeca Skin Center for over 20 years, and I truly can’t imagine trusting my skin to anyone else. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, thoughtful, and honest, with an approach that always feels personalized and never rushed. After two decades, I can confidently say Dr. Parikh is not only an outstanding dermatologist but someone I trust completely. Highly recommend.
1. TIME PRESSURE
Be prepared that you will only have five minutes, after that a doctor will ask you to leave. The staff will start knocking on the door (to stop serving you and go to another customer). Money are much more important for them or for the owner than quality healthcare, happy patients and empowered society.
All they they try to do is make prescriptions and send you home. After around ten minutes they will do their best to stop helping you.
At the same time some appointments begin 10-20 minutes late.
2. FRONT DESK WITHOUT ATTENTION TO DETAILS
The front desk is tend to appoint a doctor your insurance doesn’t accept. They prefer to avoid answering your questions.
3. EXPENSIVE PROCEDURES, QUESTIONABLE PRESCRIPTIONS
Some operations will be expensive, but don’t expect good results. And nobody explains how to use prescriptions properly without ruining your skin. Be careful, it’s about revenue, not care.
