I had the pleasure of working with Alexander and Sons Upholstery, specifically with Jeffrey, the owner, on reupholstering a set of four dining chairs. After researching several options in NYC, I found that Alexander and Sons Upholstery stood out as the best choice for a few reasons.
1. The location of the shop was incredibly convenient for me, as I reside in the Upper East Side. This made it easy to visit their workshop and discuss the project in person.
2. They have consistently high reviews and have built a reputation for delivering top-notch service and quality craftsmanship.
3. While they were priced slightly higher than the other options, Jeffrey was willing to work with me to find a price that suited my budget.
Throughout the entire process, Jeffrey's communication and expertise were exceptional. He guided me through the fabric selection process, provided valuable insights and even sent me home with swatch books to help me make an informed decision. Once we settled on a fabric, Jeffrey provided a final budget and timeline and I was pleased to see that the project was completed as expected.
When it came to delivery, Jeffrey accommodated my schedule, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free experience. Even when a small issue arose, he was quick to address it, demonstrating his commitment to delivering a flawless final product and customer satisfaction.
From start to finish, my experience with Alexander and Sons Upholstery was nothing short of exceptional. Jeffrey's expertise, professionalism, and commitment to customer service made the entire process a pleasure. I wholeheartedly recommend Alexander and Sons Upholstery to anyone in need of reupholstery services in New York City.
Jeff did a beautiful job recovering our leather dining-room chairs and our living-room chairs and couch (thanks, cats!)
Better not to open a window; suffice to say I had a MAJOR problem with another operation (whom I am suing!).
I listened to "a friend" who steered me wrong.
Alexander & Son's who I found out about myself is an HONEST, easy to deal with, totally competent and professional operation. They are NICE PEOPLE!
And there is nothing wrong with that!
They have 2 Manhattan locations. For all I know, maybe there are other locations.
