Reviews
Kenneth Katz is a wonderful attorney helped me thru difficult job separation negotiation
I’m leaving this review because my experience with Katz & Melinger was deeply disappointing, especially after the level of detail I provided and the urgency of the matter.
I reached out regarding a complex ADA retaliation and wrongful termination case involving Starbucks, with multiple active federal and city agency investigations (EEOC, NYCCHR, NYSDOL, EBSA, WHD). Katz & Melinger responded promptly at first and requested a very extensive intake packet — pages and pages of questions covering employment history, schedules, pay structure, adverse actions, communications with HR, and the ongoing agency filings.
I completed everything they asked for, in full, with timestamps, documentation, and clarity. Their team acknowledged receipt, stated it was being submitted for attorney review, and promised to follow up the next week.
And then nothing.
No call.
No update.
No clarification.
No acknowledgment that my case was reviewed.
No “we’re unable to take this case.”
Just silence — after they initiated the follow-ups and pushed for the intake to be completed.
To be clear, I wasn’t chasing them. They contacted me repeatedly asking for information, encouraged me to call or schedule time with an intake specialist, and reassured me the legal team would follow up. I cooperated fully… and then I was ghosted.
When someone is dealing with retaliation, disability discrimination, and termination during protected medical leave, the last thing they need is a firm that requests exhaustive details and then disappears without a basic courtesy response.
Even a simple “we can’t take your case” would have been professional. Instead, the communication stopped entirely after I provided everything they asked for.
Based on my experience, I can’t recommend this firm for anyone dealing with time-sensitive employment issues or disability-related retaliation. The intake process felt promising — but the follow-through simply wasn’t there.
Katz Melinger is a fantastic firm. They are professional and reliable, they help employees who aren’t treated fairly at work. I highly recommend them.
Katz Melinger firm has always been the "go-to" professional labor and employment law firm my acquaintances refer to for legal situations. Ken Katz and Alexa Salazar both willingly take their time to offer counseling via in person, phone, or virtual. After one conversation with them, the complexity of handling a legal issue became much less complex. Thus, giving you a better outlook of where to go next. Great to know a firm has your back!
Adam is the Best lawyer
I had a case but most of firms didn’t want to take my case till I found Katz Melinger - since the first call I was treated as a human and all the staff showed me they were professional and I was in the correct place.
I can tell you that my lawyer is the best one over all and don’t hesitate to call him and make your rights valued.
Thank you Adam and Jonathan for your patience and your commitment
