I’m writing this review to share an honest and fair account of my experience.
First, I want to be very clear: the artist who worked with me was excellent. She was kind, professional, patient, and did her best under challenging circumstances. My concerns are not about her in any way. My frustration is entirely with the agency’s communication, coordination, and policies.
Before booking, I contacted the company specifically to ask whether detailed documentation from the trial could be provided so I could share it with my wedding artists in Portugal. I was told this was something they could offer, which was a major reason I chose this agency and paid their premium pricing. Unfortunately, the experience did not reflect that promise.
1. The artist was never informed about the documentation request.
When I arrived for my trial, the artist had not been told anything about my need for documentation, nor had she received any of my inspiration photos or notes. She came in completely unaware of what I was hoping to achieve. We had to start from scratch, which was frustrating and made the appointment feel unprepared and disorganized (again, not her fault). For a high-end service, I expected far better coordination from the agency.
2. The agency initially pushed back when I raised concerns.
After the appointment, when I asked for the documentation I had been told could be provided, the agency resisted and suggested that taking notes and documenting the process was my responsibility as the bride. This was very disappointing, since I had confirmed in advance that this was something they could supply. Only after I expressed my frustration did they ultimately send over notes and photos. While I appreciate that they eventually provided them, the process to get there was unnecessarily difficult and not the level of customer experience I expected at this price point.
3. A rescheduling policy that pressured me to come in sick.
When I became ill and tried to reschedule out of consideration for the artist, I was told I would lose half of my $330 deposit if I moved the appointment. This effectively forced me to attend while contagious in order to avoid a significant financial penalty. The alternative offered was for the artist to wear a mask, which left me feeling that the policy prioritized fees over basic client and artist wellbeing.
In the end, I did receive usable documentation and the artist herself was wonderful. But the overall experience with the agency, poor internal communication, lack of preparation, resistance to providing what was promised, and rigid policies, fell far short of what I expected from a premium company.
If you book with this agency, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing, confirming exactly what deliverables are included, and reviewing their rescheduling policies carefully.
Again, the artist was great, the issues were entirely on the agency side.
I can’t recommend this bridal hair and makeup team in New York enough! Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The artists arrived right on time, were incredibly nice, professional, and made the whole morning feel calm and special.
My makeup and hairstyle turned out to be the best I’ve ever had in my life — truly flawless. I felt so beautiful, confident, and completely like the dream bride. Everything lasted perfectly all day and night through tears, hugs, and dancing.
All of my bridesmaids were also obsessed with their looks. Every single one of them looked stunning and couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved their hair and makeup. We received so many compliments!
The entire experience was smooth, luxurious, and stress-free. Thank you for making my wedding morning so special and for creating the most perfect look. This was truly the best bridal hair and makeup experience, and I would recommend this team to every bride!
