Surendra and Avi were AMAZING! Our dryer was a broken mess and they came in and were able to repair it in 25 minutes and now it works perfectly! They also reattached the dryer handle (which had broken off and wasn’t part of the reason the dryer wasn’t functioning) without me even asking. They were friendly, professional, skilled and fast— I couldn’t ask for anything more! Thank you Surendra and Avi!
Mr Appliance, their office and on-site personnel insure my continued patronage. From easily making an appointment, setting up an estimate assessment appointment and then fixing a defect in Miele appliances they always come through. Saved a refrigerator, dishwasher, a speed oven and hopefully nothing else! But if I ever need them, they will continue to be my first and only call.
Believe all of the negative reviews on Angie's List, Google, Yelp, and Better Business Bureau!!! Many customers, including myself, have had issues where they pay upfront, appliance repairs are not made, they request a refund, they never receive it and Mr. Appliance stops returning their calls. This is what happened to me and I wanted to share my experience.
My Samsung washing machine stopped working in July 2025. Things started off well with Mr. Appliance NYC--I booked an appointment online for a technician to come the next day. At that visit, they said that the motor drive system in the washer was not working and needed to be replacement. I was given an estimate of $1,309.46 for parts and labor and although that seemed kind of high to me, I preferred to make the repair as the washer was not all that old and to avoid the hassle of ordering and buying a new one.
An appointment was scheduled for the repair to be made, but I never received a confirmation and I had to call them to find out that they were still waiting on the part and the next appointment would need to be rescheduled. It took almost a month for the new part to come in and a new repair date was scheduled, at which time a technician came and replaced the defective part. The washer worked for a week or two and then stopped working again and had the exact same issue as before.
Another appointment was scheduled--the technician failed to show up at his scheduled time, but did end up showing up later. I was told thatp perhaps the new part they had ordered was defective and they would replace again.
A new repair date was scheduled--new part replaced again and the tech ran a quick wash cycle, said washer was working and then left. I then did a regular cycle of wash and it did not work at all/same issue. I immediately called office to let them know. Was told that technician was doing research on this and they would be in touch. I continued to call and they kept telling me the same thing.
We are now into September (so I have not had a working washer and this has been going on for 2 months)--I scheduled yet another appt over the phone with the technician. I did not receive a confirmation, so called the morning of appointment to get a more specific time frame and was told that they did not have me on the calendar and that I did not have an appointment. I told them that I did and they agreed to send the technician later that day. The technician came and confirmed that he had spoken with Samsung, no error codes were showing up on washer, and that it was not working and that he was not able to repair it. He told me that he would be writing up a report and putting in a request for a refund as the original issue had not been repaired or resolved. Called Mr. Appliance office later in the afternoon and was told that they did not yet have the technician’s report.
The next day, I called Mr. Apppliance office and was told that they had the report with the refund request and were working on it. I asked them when I could expect the refund and they said they did not know. I told them I would continue to call back and check.
In early October, despite numerous phone calls, I never heard from Mr. Appliance again about my refund or anything else. DO NOT USE!
I have worked with appliance trades in my clients homes for decades. I could not be more pleased with Mr. Appliance. Every step of the way was handled incredibly professionally. They were on time, had their own protection, arrived with booties in hand. They will be my go to team in the future!
Mr. Appliance receptionist was professional in scheduling my appointment and understanding in arranging notification when service representatives were enroute, to ensure my oven would be ready for entertaining duties. Surendra and Ali, two knowledgeable and experienced Service Professionals, arrived in the time frame designation, were respectful of my home and the repair process. Removed any debris and shared valuable follow-up tips. I am very glad Bosch provided Mr. Appliance to service their product! And Mr. Appliance sent Surendra and Ali!! Happy Winter/Holiday Season.
