If I could give this place a million stars, I would! We had a wonderful experience with New York Art Studio. The teachers, Claudia, Ian, and Jean, are phenomenal artists and truly gifted teachers. They helped my son develop his portfolio and grow so much as an artist, and he was accepted into both LaGuardia High School and Art & Design.
He received one-on-one instruction, thoughtful feedback, and so much positive encouragement throughout what can be a very stressful process. The teachers are incredibly supportive and really know how to bring out the best in their students.
We are so grateful for everything they did for him and highly recommend New York Art Studio to any student applying to art high schools, college or looking to seriously develop their art skills.
Highly recommended! Our daughter spent 6 months at another art studio with poor results. New York Art Studio was far more hands on and constructive, getting the best output from our daughter, which we knew was in her. In 4 months there she finished 3 of the 4 required portfolio pieces plus the reworked 4th piece and an additional supplemental piece. She got an offer from LaGuardia (with a perfect 100 score) and accepted, with another offer from Frank Sinatra. In addition to that she got 100 scores from Brooklyn Arts and Edward Murrow. It was all thanks to the very supportive group at New York Art Studio and we are extremely thankful.
What an absolute gem! New York Art Studio was able to coach my daughter through her High School Art Portfolio process from start to finish. She ended up getting accepted to LaGuardia and Art and Design (her first choice). Shout out to Claudia for being an amazing teacher and cheerleader!
We are incredibly grateful to NY Art Studio for their help during the high school audition process. Our child received an offer letter from LaGuardia and scored 100 for both LaGuardia and Art and Design High School!

The teachers were very attentive and my son felt like he got a lot of useful guidance. The studio environment helped him focus in a way that he never experienced before. By the end of the summer, he had eight pieces for his portfolio and application. Ultimately, he was admitted to LaGuardia high school of the arts in Manhattan, with 100% on his portfolio. We are very happy with the results!
