They couldn’t fix my hard drive, but were able to test it and give me a definitive answer within 15 minutes. Also let me know there had been consistent issues reported with the item I had brought in, and gave me some viable alternative options. Very personable and honest. I’d recommend them to anybody.
I came in from Brooklyn with a broken MacBook Air M2 screen—it had horizontal scan lines and was pulsing on the bottom half—and I was doing a lot of research to find a repair shop I could actually trust.
Other locations were quoting me $450 to $500 for an original screen. This shop offered to do the original Apple screen replacement for $395. They also gave me the option to replace the entire upper back casing for $495, but I opted for just the screen.
the technician who did the actual repair did an absolutely fantastic job. The screen looks pristine and works perfectly. They even did a little extra favor and cleaned out the charging port on the side, which I really appreciated.
The lady working at the front desk on Saturday was very professional and gave great explanations of the process. However, I do have to say she did gave off the tone and attitude of me being a pain for her. I understand that I had a lot of questions and clarifications but I do hope she can understand that im trying to see if I can trust this specific place not to mess things up. A little more patience and empathy in those moments would go a long way. but ultimately I made the good call. I won't take off a star since that might tank their rating but I do wanted to make a note of that.
Overall, the hardware work is top-tier and the pricing is the best you will find. Literally, the technician did an amazing job. Highly recommend their repair services.
I thought there was something wrong with my computer hardware, brought it in - turned out there was nothing wrong. They helped me trouble-shoot, explained the issues and how to manage them, what to look out for, etc., and I left without spending any money. Proves how trustworthy and smart this shop is. Highly recommended for their honesty, intelligence, and helpful spirit.
I came here for a battery replacement for my Macbook Air. I went to the Apple Store in Soho first, and they said it would take 5-7 days to replace my laptop battery even though they had it in stock. I called Simple Mac and they said they had the battery in stock and that it would only take 1 hour! It only took around 1 hour, they were fast, professional, and nice! I’ll come back here every time I need work done, and I would recommend this place to anyone! Thanks!
Spilled about a cup of water on my mac at 5am so after some research, I decided on Simple Mac (which I was also referred to by a well reputed repair shop in the city).
Anyways, Mindy at the desk was kind and Tony was super upfront with the damage and didn’t push or suggest anything unnecessary, so it was less expensive than I thought (it helps if you bring it to them asap after however you damage it). Got it back quickly as well.
Not paid or given any discounts; just tryna shout out some honest folks. I even came from up north because I preferred people with more experience.
