My experience with Dave was nothing like two recent reviews, posted following his buy of United Decorators (UD) from Paul, whose excellent reputation speaks for itself.
My mom used UD many times years ago, most likely when Paul was there, so I turned to UD for my own reupholstering needs. In this case, for a tired old loveseat needing some tender loving care.
Choosing the fabric took the longest time, as some were from European sources slow to reply to inquiries about availability and cost.
Dave also rehabilitated the wood frame and applied a new coat of polish making the result a fine example of upholstery craftsmanship.
It took two months to complete but well worth the wait.
Every experience is different but I am happy to say mine was worthy of five stars.
Highly recommend Paul and his team at United Decorators. Paul was extremely communicative and professional throughout the entire process. His team worked quickly and efficiently and were very respectful of our space during pickups and deliveries.
Our couch, sitting and dining room chairs are transformed, and our new blinds are beautiful!
Paul returned my call very quickly and came to evaluate my chairs for reupholstery. He gave me a reasonable quote and had my chairs picked up the next day. The finished job was an amazing transformation and seamless. Very satisfied with the quality and efficiency of the work. Will definitely use United again.
I highly recommend United Decorators for reupholstery services. A few months ago I worked with Paul to reupholster my grandmothers 1950's arm chairs and love seat. His team picked up the chairs from our apartment in Brooklyn and delivered the finished chairs to my house on Long Island. He met with me at my house with swatch books to help me choose the right fabrics to match my home. The finished furniture came out looking amazing. They started out in bad condition and he restored them beautifully. I would absolutely use them again for any other reupholstery I may need in the future.
