Amazing service and beautiful, thoughtful craftsmanship for a very fragile piece of artwork I brought in.
I had no idea what would visually suit the piece the best, and I am so appreciative of Andrzej’s recommendations. Pricing on par with more commercialized places like Framebridge. (And much better better bang for your buck.) Will be back!
Service is a little cold in that old New York way of shops dealing in an expert craft. I'm glad they're still here...but try to remember the human touch!
I used to go here and was happy with the service but I had a frustrating experience recently. I came into the shop, took out my picture and started to tell him what I wanted (very small and simple job). Another customer came in. She was picking something up. He said that he needed to take care of her first because it would be faster. He couldn't find it for a bit and moved really slowly. I waited over ten minutes and he still wasn't ringing it up so left. Only go if you have lots of time and don't mind kind of unfriendly rude service
Brought in four already framed prints I wanted some oddball adjustments on. Peter was so helpful, taking a lot of time showing me what would and might not work. He completed the job creatively and quickly at a very good price. I'm thrilled with the outcome. Do get to know this long-time neighborhood business.
