I live in Chappaqua and recently tried to rebuild my deck, not realizing I needed a permit. A neighbor called the building department, and I had to find a licensed and fully insured contractor. I reached out to several contractors and architects, some gave outrageously high quotes, while others lacked the proper insurance, workers’ comp, or the Westchester home improvement license required for permits. Many took over a week just to provide a quote, and most of them were salespeople or middlemen rather than actual builders.
Thankfully, I found George. I called him and met him at one of his active job sites. After showing him pictures of my partially completed deck (about 20% done, just the wood framing), he zoomed in on the photos, counted the stairs and framing sections, and quickly calculated the square footage. He then walked me through composite decking options and gave me an on the spot quote that was both clear and very reasonable: it honestly felt too good to be true.
George told me he could start within two weeks, and he delivered exactly as promised. His workmanship was excellent he showed up on time, finished the entire job in a week, coordinated inspections with the town, and managed everything seamlessly. He was proactive, professional, and knew precisely what the building inspectors were looking for. Out of all the contractors I’ve worked with for my home, George and his team were by far the most efficient, trustworthy, and professional.
A&G did an incredible job transforming our deck! They were great with communication and stuck to deadlines. Arber made sure to give us plenty of time to pick samples which he provided. He also made valuable suggestions such as adding waterproofing and helped to design a shed under the stairs which added incredible value. Great experience working with A&G and would 100% recommend them.
