Decks by Ziec recently completed a replacement of an existing deck for us and the results are great! We have worked with a number of contractors over the years and Andrew Ziec and his team are the best! The craftsmanship, service and responsiveness were excellent. This company really cares - it shows in how they treated us and equally important is how their team members treat each other - they really enjoy what they are doing and working together. You cannot find a better deck builder!
Incredible!!! Look no further - just hire decks by Ziec! Peter came for the initial consult and made great suggestions and recommendations for size and style. He made drawings and cost estimates on the spot. When the work began, Andrew and his team were very friendly, communicative, and incredibly meticulous. Everyone wanted to know who built our deck since it’s so nice! We can’t wait to enjoy it for years to come. 10 stars
Our initial meeting with Peter was very productive. After discussing our plans, he quickly put together a design, material and quote for the project.
Thomas and crew did an incredible job. The project site was kept organized and clean. He kept us informed and construction was completed in a timely manner and with high quality work. Upon completion the deck looked amazing.

I interviewed two contractors to renovate an aging backyard wood deck. Most of the screws had rusted and were broken and many of the decking boards had split. One contractor gave me an off-the-cuff estimate in a few minutes. In contrast, Peter Ziec of Decks by Ziec told me that the deck would have to be replaced but the existing footings and beams could be reused with additional ones for stability. On the spot, Peter measured our existing deck and meticulously drew a scale drawing of the deck that Decks by Ziec would build. He gave us a price based on demolishing the existing deck, carting away the old materials, adding additional footings and beams, and installing a beautiful design based on Fiberon composite decking lumber and Trex aluminum posts and railings that we selected from samples in his truck. Peter's brother Andrew, with two assistants, did all the construction in the middle of winter. They even had to shovel snow away from the work area. Snow and cold weather did not bother them. Andrew's measurements and work were as meticulous as Peter's design. The bottom line: We could not be happier with the terrific work that Decks by Ziec did for us. I highly recommend Decks by Ziec for any deck construction. Their web site has lots and lots of pictures of past projects.
We contacted Decks by Ziec to look at redoing our backyard deck and pavers. We needed a revamp and someone with an eye for design. Peter came out and provided ideas and was happy to share details, incorporate our thoughts and came up with a great design. Brian and Kevin did a fantastic job implementing the design, were polite, kept a clean and safe job site and were in constant communication every step of the way. We could not be happier with the results!
