Performing at Inspir Carnegie Hill this past year has been a wonderful experience. The residents are a sophisticated audience with a genuine appreciation for musical artistry. In terms of NYC’s luxury senior living, Inspir stands out for its commitment to elite creative engagement and refined atmosphere.
Inspir is truly an amazing place. Besides the beauty of the building and decor, the live music performances, the food, and not least the care - they are responsive, responsible, and dedicated. It starts from the management at the top and continues through to the maintenance staff!
My wheelchair bound mother in Memory Care is taken on small group trips to museums, a ferry ride, and the botanic garden. After expressing interest in doing a more involved art activity, she and one of the staff created a mural which was hung in a common area.
The medical attention is quick and informed; tests are done in-house; I ALWAYS receive a call if something is askew. I am given suggestions for items to buy that will improve my mothers daily life. All concerns or requests that I have are listened to and addressed. Wheelchair accessible travel is included and arranged for doctors appointments. I can rest assured that my mother is safe!
And I can tell you all of the above is not a given. The other two places she was in were the opposite. Pretty on the surface but no substance or accountability! Medicine mismanagement with no investigation or information. I left each place, one a year ago, one recently, after only a month at each. I lost confidence in their ability to, at a minimum, keep my mother safe!
It is always a pleasure to visit and have everyone address my mother and me by name no matter where we are in the building (not just on her floor). I am truly thankful. :)

It's hard to believe that it's been a little over 4 years now since I first started giving piano performances regularly at Inspīr Carnegie Hill. I love the residents and bringing the joy of live music to them nearly every week. I can't express enough how eager I am to get to do what I love with such delightful people (who sing along, and even dance!). Kudos to the Inspīr team for their ongoing commitment to the residents and performing artists like myself; they have done an excellent job fostering a congenial and engaging family environment.
