After having my first session with John Morganelli, I feel a lot more prepared to tackle the process of college applications. Before meeting with him and discussing the Blueprint plan, I was really overwhelmed and didn’t know what kind of programs would be right for me. However, after meeting with him, I now have a sense of where to start, as well as knowing some tips on how to approach highly selective schools/programs. He was really down to earth and I felt like he knew me, and his years of experience were very clear. Could not recommend it more, as now I know where to go from here!
We took a few private sessions, and our tutor, Sarah, was outstanding, targeting weak SHSAT areas. Their practice test portal was a huge help. The team and CEO Lisa were approachable and ready to discuss our current progress in details. Highly recommend.
Ivy Tutors is incredible. They are communicative, helpful and caring. Our teacher - Syd Bakal is amazing. Our child has grown immensely. Syd is a brilliant teacher who makes the test prep not only understandable and practical but also fun. Our child looks forward to going every week! And has grown immensely.
We signed up for SHSAT prep with Ivy Tutors Network to create a small tutoring group with our daughter and a friend. Our tutor was Nicole, who is incredible and, as Stuyvesant graduate, knows what she's talking about.
Richard and Lisa, who run the program were very good with communication. We received a reminder of our weekly appointment a couple days beforehand and a detailed accounting of how it went from Nicole after each session.
In our experience, Ivy Tutors also balances concerns about putting too much pressure on kids, which I appreciate. Our daughter really enjoys each session.
I will try to update once our daughter takes the test in the fall but I am very pleases with what I have seen so far.
UPDATE: our daughter got into Bronx Science. Very happy with the result, of course, but also that Nicole made the test prep quite enjoyable for our daughter. Highly recommend.
We’ve used Ivy Tutors in the past to prep for the high school entry exams. And now recently to prep for the SATs. My daughter’s SAT results have improved over 300 points!
