Don’t think twice! Use StepPrep if you are looking for a truly customized, thoughtful, and successful experience. This is not a tutoring factory. The tutoring is tailored to the students needs and evaluated with every lesson. Thorough and thoughtful notes of each encounter were sent for transparency into students strengths and areas of opportunity. Overhearing the lessons occasionally, Jed is also thoughtfully in tune with the students well-being; offering genuine encouragement and boosting self-esteem. Jed seems to have so many tools at his disposal, so he is able pivot and dig deeper in areas of focus. There is nothing generic about StepPrep’s services. Jed also coached my son with interviewing skills. Final Outcome - my son got into his (and ours!) top choice of school - which was pretty competitive. I’ve recommended StepPrep to every friend looking for test tutoring. Thank you, Jed!
My son Jake enjoyed working with Mr. Jed at StepPrep Tutoring. Because of Mr. Jed's exceptional personal and teaching skills, music and math lessons were fresh and fun which kept my son interested! He helped Jake build confidence, focus and discipline. I was impressed how he excelled with his piano skills and made tremendous progress preparing for the SHSAT. My daughter worked with Jed and StepPrep Tutoring to prepare for the Tachs exam for admission to New York's Catholic Schools. They were extraordinarily invested in my daughter's success without overwhelming her. While I wanted her to do well on the test, my chief concern was that she not be feel like the test was a do or die experience. Jed and the team walked that line brilliantly. Their sessions and the work they asked her to do independently was challenging, but they also sought to build her confidence. In the end, it was successful, she got into her school of choice.
Jed is an amazing tutor. He is creative and motivated to ensure students are engaged and processing the information. He was really helpful and thoughtful. He is excellent at tailoring the material to address the students individual learning style. It is very difficult to find a tutor that is capable of working with children with IEP and Jed was able to implement diverse strategies that motivated my son to learn something new without feeling it was too hard. Jed is consistently communicating and provides effective and insightful feedback. I highly recommend him especially for children with learning disabilities.
