Our four year old daughter has just completed her second full year at YaYa, and we could not be more pleased with the experience she has had at the school. As a non-Mandarin speaker I had initial reservations about enrolling her in an immersion language program. These have been proven wrong as she has grown on every level and is equally fluent in both Mandarin and English.

More importantly, the team at YaYa has instilled in her a deep love for learning, which she will carry with her as she moves both onto her next school and in life more generally.

I would like to thank the team at YaYa for the care and devotion they have shown to both our daughter and to us as parents. We are truly grateful for our experience at YaYa and wholeheartedly endorse the school and its immersion curriculum.

I often do not leave beaming/ glowing reviews, but our experience at YaYa summer camp was so amazing that I just had to come here and express how wonderful our experience was. We were so floored by how committed and dedicated the teachers were in caring for our son, especially due to the fact that we had him enrolled in their summer program. Their team worked hand in hand with us each week to update us on his progress and they even collaborated with our son’s occupational therapist and allowed her to push in and work with him. They were very involved and put in so much care and attention that it honestly put our son’s very expensive private school to shame.

If I could leave six stars here, I would. I highly recommend this school to any parent who is looking for a nurturing environment of dedicated professionals.

Our 3 year old has been attending programs at Yaya for a couple of years and we could not have wished for a more nurturing environment for her to start her learning career. Yaya has has encouraged her to develop a love of learning and given her an extremely strong foundation in Mandarin - all while learning through play. The curriculum is extremely well thought out to encourage skill development in key areas. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and caring, with a great deal of attention paid to each individual child's learning journey. The parent community is also a wonderful source of friendship and support.

Ya Ya Preschool is a GEM in downtown Manhattan. If you are looking for a preschool where your infant or toddler can develop into an independent, confident, happy child; is taught by thoughtful instructors; where all the administrators and teachers know you and your child by first name; and where your child can be taught in a fully-immersive Mandarin environment, then Ya Ya Preschool is the place for you.

In addition, Ya Ya Preschool's curriculum is very thoughtfully designed and I am always amazed at how many different fun and thoughtful activities they do with the children, and the children work on independently to hone their gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, and social+emotional skills. Ya Ya Preschool's instructors are all hand-picked with extensive early childhood experience.

My son, Jason, has been attending Ya Ya Preschool for 2 years now and prior to that, we did the weekly singalong class. Although he took quite a while to separate from me at dropoff, he was always very happy at pickups and excited to tell me about all the highlights of his day, including words he'd learned, skills he learned and practiced (he would want to do those same skills/activities at home in the afternoons), and songs he learned in school.

We are sadly moving far away from New York City and the first thing that came to my mind was that we would never find a preschool as special to our hearts as Ya Ya Preschool. And I looked and looked and looked, and I was right.

And for those who worry their children may not learn English attending a fully-immersive Mandarin preschool, please stop worrying. Their lives outside of Ya Ya are fully-immersive English and it happens around age 3-4 - the English doesn't stop, but the Mandarin definitely is harder and harder to come by.

Truly one of a kind! The teachers, school, curriculum are all so special. The thought they put into everything is so impressive. I'm so happy we switched to Ya Ya! My son has fallen in love with the language thanks to Ya Ya, not an easy thing to do when you are in an English speaking environment! The best Mandarin immersion program any parent and child can hope for.
