I came to Brian Scott Cohen through my real estate agent, who had worked with him on financing in the same building I was looking at in Financial District/Tribeca area. As someone who has financed quite a few properties through larger institutions like Citi and Loan Depot, I can say the experience with Brian's team was smoother and faster than what I was used to with traditional banks.
What stood out was how proactive they were. As a businessman without a standard W2, they took the time to figure out the best financing structure for my situation rather than just running it through the usual channels. The loan was ready within 60 days, which was ahead of what other lenders had quoted me. Any delays on closing were on the seller's side, not theirs. Overall the process was good and timely, and I would keep them in mind for future financing in New York City.

I worked with Brian on the purchase of a co-op in NY and the experience was professional, fast, and straightforward. The process ended up taking about five months, but that had nothing to do with Brian. The sellers were out of the country and we kept having to extend while waiting on their power of attorney. Through all of it, Brian and his team were consistently available, weekdays, weekends, whenever I needed to reach someone I could.
