I’ve never left a bad review anywhere, but I feel the need to share my experience because I don’t want anyone to go through the same thing I did.
I wanted a brow lamination and tint before my trip to Japan so that I didn’t have to worry about doing my eyebrows while I was on vacation. I went into my appointment with my brows done exactly how I like them, with eyebrow gel already on. I told the lady doing my eyebrows that I wanted them to look exactly like I had them, just laminated so that I didn’t have to use eyebrow gel every day. I told her I did NOT like the fluffy, brushed up look that people usually get with laminations and she told me, “don’t worry, I do eyebrow tattoos I promise I’ll give you the brows you want”. The first red flag was that the lady immediately started talking poorly about the client she had before me, which was extremely unprofessional. The girl before me was not happy with her results, which I should have taken as a sign!
After doing the lamination, the technician pulled up the Sephora website and showed me the tint she uses, and then asked me what color I wanted. I had no idea how the tint would turn out as it was my first time getting it done, and assumed my technician would know what color to recommend based off of my skin tone and natural hair color. The color we agreed on ended up being way too dark — and yes, I know it’s supposed to be dark for a few days after the appointment, but it remained dark for the past two weeks and the application was horrible. The tint was heavily concentrated on the inside of my eyebrows, but the ends of my eyebrows barely had any tint, even though that’s where I needed the most coverage as my eyebrows were sparser on the ends.
She then plucked so much of my eyebrows off, even though I told her not to (I couldn’t tell how much she was plucking until after the appointment). Two weeks later now that the lamination is wearing off, I have sparse areas on my eyebrows where she plucked my hair after doing the lamination. She was really just plucking hairs from my natural shape but it probably looked fine on my laminated brows because they were pushed up and shaped a certain way, but now that the lamination is wearing off you can clearly see she plucked from my natural shape and now the ends of my eyebrows look all messed up.
The lamination itself was the complete opposite of what I asked for. When she showed me the mirror I was genuinely flabbergasted at what I was looking at. My eyebrows were brushed up so high, it looked ridiculous. Both the technician and the front desk lady were saying my entire appointment how great they looked, but when I saw my brows in the mirror I was in shock. She had done exactly what I asked her not to do, and I had to try and reshape them myself. Ultimately I just wanted to leave so I paid and left, but it was seriously such a waste of money and I should have demanded a refund. The past two weeks I’ve been washing my brows intensely to try and get the tint out, and I’ve been trying to counteract the lamination by brushing my eyebrows down with castor oil. But they still lay weird, some of my brow hairs will stick straight up and some won’t lay flat, there are so many sparse areas and because some of the hairs won’t lay flat I can’t even brush them to the shape I want.
This experience was so horrible and scarred me from getting my eyebrows done in the future. This was my first time doing anything to my eyebrows professionally, and it was such a scam. It was overpriced and so poorly done. My eyebrows were not super full to begin with, and now they’re just straight up messed up. I would never recommend this place, and if you go just make sure you’re checking in on how your eyebrows look throughout your appointment so you can point out any changes to your technician before it’s too late. I told my technician exactly what I wanted and she still managed to mess it up, so do yourself a favor and get your eyebrows done literally anywhere else.
I had my first appointment with Alex, and I'm very pleased with the results! I got a brow mapping along with tinting and upper lip threading, and my brows look fantastic. He clearly understood my goals and demonstrated great skill and precision. I highly recommend him and look forward to returning.
I thought about getting Nanobrows for a few months and finally pulled the trigger and scheduled a consultation and the procedure with Lily. She was great - when she told me that she is a fine artist specilizing in portraits I was immediately put at ease. This was about 3 months ago with two minor touchups as things settled down. The results are so natural and the shape is beautiful; I love not having to use eye pencil 1-2x a day! Highly recommended business with very good customer service as well.
From someone who's been getting brows threaded regularly for years — no one has put so much thought and care into my eyebrows as Afsi at Brow Society. She mapped them out on my face for me, walked me through every step of the process, and made sure I was comfortable. Now that I've worked with Afsi, I will literally go nowhere else. Really recommend her and all of the staff here!
I had my first lash lift with Alli, and it looks so wonderful! My photo may not do it justice, so check out their insta to see more and better quality captures of the services. I don’t know that I can go back to my regular mascara routine after this. ☺️ Alli is great and walks you through everything in real time and makes sure you know what’s going on during the process. The whole staff and place has such good vibes, and I look forward to going back to tackle my brows next!
