Fantastic instructors! I just passed my driving test thanks to all the help from Vlad. I was very nervous to start driving but Vlad built up my confidence quickly. He explained things clearly and slowly for me to help make things click. Superb teacher. I was worried that Manhattan would be so busy for lessons that it would be stressful, but the instructors direct you to quieter streets to practice maneuvers. Vlad and Morris are very positive and motivating so it kept me going. I highly recommend them, they’ll help you pass your test for sure!

I passed my driving test on the second try, and I honestly couldn’t have done it without the amazing team here. Morris helped me so much with organizing everything and making the whole process smooth and much less stressful.

A huge thank you to both Otto and Jose — they are incredibly patient, understanding, and supportive instructors who really help build your confidence behind the wheel. Jose teaches on the East Side, and Otto teaches on the West Side, which makes scheduling and finding a comfortable location really convenient depending on where you are.

I took my road test in Red Hook and actually really liked the neighborhood for the exam. The area felt calm and predictable, which helped me stay focused and comfortable during the test.

Very grateful for all the support and would definitely recommend them to anyone learning how to drive!

I had a fantastic experience with Confident Driving School. I am 45 never drive in my life after bad car accident years ago. Had multiple therapies even hypnoses and still had panic attacks in the car . . Well , decided to give last try just start driving with some professional and see how it goes. Started with 5 classes and than keep continuing. What can I tell….the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, calm, and supportive, which made a huge difference in building my confidence on the road. They tailor each lesson to my skill level and focus on helping me improve step by step. Had classes with Jose and Otto they are incredible. Morris is really great and care about students progress, always texted to ask how I feel and how successful classes are.

What really stands out is their professionalism and organization—the scheduling process is easy, and they’re always responsive and accommodating. They genuinely care about their students’ success and safety . Every time was snow or rain Morris always texted saying that not safe to practice and I can move class to any other day that works for me… that level of care hard to find in NYC .
Thanks to their guidance, I felt confident, safe, and ready to drive independently. I would absolutely recommend Confident Driving School to anyone looking for high-quality instruction and a positive learning experience.

I cannot recommend Confident Driver School highly enough! Their rates are fantastic, but it’s the personal touch that sets them apart. They genuinely care about their students' success. I also had a situation where I needed to cancel a gift voucher, and they/Morris handled the refund immediately and professionally. Confident Driver Driving School is the best driving school in NYC. The instructors, Jose and Vlad, are extremely knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. They explain everything clearly, help build confidence, and genuinely care about their students’ success. I took lessons for only two weeks on a very tight deadline, and I was still able to complete all my lessons and pass my driving test.

I also took the mandatory 5-hour online course through the school, and it was very well organized and easy to follow and understand.

On the day of my road test, instructor Jose took me to the test and supported me every step of the way. I want to give my greatest thanks to Jose for helping me build my confidence and for always encouraging me to believe in myself.
