I had water coming down in almost every room of my house. A team responded in about 40 minutes, tarped the roof and the road to recovery began.
Nick is honest, calming, displaying excellent communication skills rarely found today. I would recommend Five Star Roofing to anyone.
FANTASTIC! Nick came out to do the estimate and was always on site during the job. Very nice family owned company... explained everything in detail and excellent communication.
Cannot recommend Five Star enough, was extremely satisfied with their roofing services. Had a terra cotta roof which needed some work - if you know this roofing style, you're probably familiar with how difficult it is to find a good roofer comfortable working with this material. As soon as I spoke to Nick, he walked me through the entire process: carefully removing old tiles, replacing the underlayment beneath with a high quality product, and installing new tiles that would be good for another century. He was upfront about pricing and how much deposit would be needed to start the job. He assured me that every step of the process he would give me photo updates and explain exactly what's going on.
Nick held to every word. His team was able to work the project as scheduled, he provided regular updates, and was very detailed about next steps when the work involved turned out to be a bigger scope than originally anticipated. Given that it was terra cotta, the full job was by no means cheap, but Nick graciously walked me through all expenses and showed me how it was all going into the job. Moreover, he was able to finish the work across a weekend when rain was predicted for Monday, when originally we were scheduled for 4-5 days of work. He consistently under-promised and over-delivered.
As someone who works in a related industry, I can really appreciate this level of communication and attention to detail. I would gladly recommend Nick and his team at Five Star for any kind of roofing job, but particularly for tile/heritage roofs.
What a great experience with this company. Nick was fantastic and made my 96 year old uncle feel comfortable with working with him. We had 3 bids and Nicks was right on point. Renaldo did the work today and it is fantastic!! Also his invoice is so detailed oriented. Made us feel good. Will use again if need be.
I just used Nick and his team to replace my roof. He was responsive, timely and professional. His team moved quickly, and got the job done in two days as soon as he had a forecast with no rain. The morning they arrived I asked them to put an additional layer of insulation, which he priced and accommodated immediately. His bid was not the lowest I received, but the detail in his quote suggested solid attention to detail and that is apparent looking at his work.
