I’ve had positive experiences with Fox & Jane in the past, which is why I’m giving 2 stars, but very disappointment with my latest visit. Upon arrival my stylist told me she cannot do any “creative cuts” but only long lived in layered looks and offered to rebook me with someone else.
As the prices at the salon have gone up and I traveled a long way/waited awhile for my appointment I agreed to a clean up of my current layers and bangs.
Overall the haircut was very basic and doesn’t make me feel like myself, my stylist wasn’t very friendly to me at all and kept insisting I come back in a month or two to see a different stylist. Disappointed she didn’t even try to match my reference photos (which were also of long layered cuts, just more cool and modern, didn’t have to be a shag).
At the end of the appointment she up-charged me for a “transformation cut” even though I basically just was slightly reshaped and lost a little length on my long hair. When I asked about it she was very dismissive is noticing it was only $10 more and that she had done a lot of work. I already have to pay extra for long hair and this appointment cost me $150 with tip for a haircut I’m not at all happy with.
For reference I saw a different stylist there in December of last year, got a great haircut that took off almost 7 inches of my long hair and it was $115 with tax, only charged as a long cut.
When I reached out to Fox & Jane to let them know what happened, they were kind and offered a $30 credit to my next appointment, but I simply won’t be back. I’m very upset the up charge was not mentioned before the start of the appointment and disappointed in the quality of work and lack of transparency of the stylists at the salon. I work in a creative field and you have to be able to do more than just your style, even if you’re not the best at it, or that needs to be communicated on the website or when booking.
There are cheaper, nicer, and better salons out there. Try those out instead, I will be.
I’ve been going to Ana Lee for years, and she consistently does an incredible job with my hair. Whether it’s a simple trim and blowout, bangs, a curly cut, or my most recent lived-in color, I always leave loving the results. I highly recommend her and her services—she’s truly amazing!
Where do I even begin? Everyone who works there is so lovely and I’m offered coffee and water as soon as I arrive. I see Kristin for my styling. I love working with them and have been for a long time. I always bring a little inspo with me and we talk about how it might work for my hair specifically- how I want to color it or are we staying with the same shade? I love Kristin because they really explain the process to me and are so knowledgeable about the science of healthy hair. I highly recommend Fox & Jane and def always Kristin!
Tristan at Fox and Jane in EV is an expert in his field, he is also just the loveliest human. He transformed my overgrown blonde to a blended balayage that made me feel myself again. Not only does my hair look and feel healthier, I feel confident that with every appointment it’s just going to get better. So excited to be back in his chair!

It was my first time at Fox and Jane, I was looking for a salon that specializes in color and I’m so glad I found them! Angela was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable and confident. I will definitely be coming back!
