K-Mama Doula

I did the 2-weeks commute with Ms.Nami and received a wonderful postpartum care. She prepared tasty meals (some pictured below) for me and my husband, took care of the baby so that we can catch up on sleep, and taught us how to take care of our newborn. She also drew a foot bath and massaged my back and legs which greatly helped with postpartum swelling.

We chose K-Mama Doula after carefully researching postpartum care services in NYC. From our very first conversation with Eunice, the director, it was clear that the team was kind, professional, and deeply engaged. Eunice thoughtfully connected us with Joy, and after an initial conversation with her, we were confident moving forward.

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Joy with us for the first three weeks after bringing our baby home. From day one, she stepped in with a competent and confident presence that made us feel well-supported.

She cared for our baby with attentiveness, helping with feedings, soothing, and bath time, and taking care of light baby-related chores such as laundry.

In addition to baby care, what also stood out was the nourishment Joy provided. She prepared thoughtful meals that sustained me during recovery. She was creative with her cooking, introducing various healthy dishes that were without fail delicious. Without her, I honestly don’t think I would have eaten as well and as consistently as I needed to, and I believe the food had a real impact on my healing. Joy also made sure I got rest during the day by encouraging me to take naps. I'm not a great napper, so even if I didn't sleep during those hours, I was able to relax and/or attend to things like insurance paperwork having to do with the baby.

All in all, a great experience with K-Mama across the individuals we connected with and of course the practical care that we received. If we have another child in the future, definitely calling K-Mama again. In fact, we've already called for additional support, which they so kindly and efficiently provided. We are very grateful and wholeheartedly recommend K-Mama Doula to any family with a new baby.

I can’t say enough good things about K-Mama Doula. Our parents live out of state, so we didn’t have any family support, and as first-time parents that felt overwhelming. At first, I was a little nervous about having a stranger take care of me and our newborn, but that worry quickly disappeared. Esther was an incredible caregiver who truly loves what she does.

She cared for our baby with so much attentiveness that I trusted her more than myself or my husband. Beyond that, she cooked us delicious meals and patiently taught us the basics of newborn care (ie. bathing, diaper change, breastfeeding, etc).

Honestly, I don’t think we would have survived the first six weeks without her. It's been a week since our 6-week contract edned, and we already miss her dearly! I highly recommend K-Mama Doula to any first-time parents looking for compassionate, knowledgeable support.

Having K-Mama Doula as our postpartum support was the best decision we made as first-time parents! We were lucky enough to have Michelle with us for three weeks, and she provided the most incredible care as we welcomed our new baby girl. She went above and beyond to make sure I was healing and nourished, treating me to relaxing foot soaks, rejuvenating postpartum massages, and absolutely delicious, nutritious homemade meals. Most importantly, her overall care and tenderness with our newborn gave us so much peace of mind during such a huge transition. We learned a lot from her!

All communication and coordination were done through Eunice. She was helpful in answering all our questions prior to booking. We truly cannot recommend Michelle, Eunice, and K-Mama Doula highly enough!

Hiring a postpartum doula from K-Mama Doula was hands-down the best decision I made for myself and my baby. Eunice from K-Mama Doula connected me to Yury and I had her as my doula for 8 weeks (I originally booked 4 and immediately requested an extension because she is that incredible!).

​From our first phone call, I was drawn to Yury’s bright personality. She brought so much laughter, smiles, and positive energy into our home every single day. The care she provides is holistic and nurturing—the herbal foot baths and postpartum massages were essential for my recovery.
