It’s hard to overstate the terrific job done by Tiffany at KIBA K9. Our golden retriever, although kind and loving, had difficulty complying with some basic commands and also had a tendency to jump on and overwhelm people. Tiffany’s gentle but skillful interventions with our dog and us as well were invaluable. Our dog is now able to greet people by sitting down calmly in front of them and reliably responds to recall and other commands. Tiffany is a talented trainer and we would highly recommend KIBA K9 to everyone
We highly recommend the KIBA K9s team.
We adopted our five-year-old dog last year. From the beginning, he was a bit insecure, and it took a few months to settle him in his new home. Then he got too settled. He retreated to his crate and guarded it, and we could no longer leash him for his walk because he would growl.
Kirubell gave us in-home private training, and from the second he encountered Swan, we knew we made a good decision. He trained Swan and us. We also invested in board-and-train, during which Tiffany worked with him as well. Swan now runs to put his head through the leash on the “leash up” command, among other learned behaviors, including no anxiety when we have visitors.
I can't say enough about this team.
We found Kirubell and Tiffany through our neighborhood park--Nash, one of the regular dogs in the morning, is a large dog and was incredibly well behaved around our then 3 month old rescue pup, Oona. When we decided we wanted to work with a trainer, we asked Nash's dad who they worked with. We're so glad we found Kiba and went through their puppy steps training! Kiba and Tiff helped us train Oona through basic obedience with communication markers, but also leash walking, the importance of play, and recall with an e-collar. Each session was kind of organic, based on what our priorities were. Would also highly recommend boarding your pup with them, since the board and train only reinforces everything. Definitely an investment, but so worth it.
Thank goodness for Kiba K9s! We were looking for a local trainer, and we hit the jackpot (right around the corner, no less). We started working with Tiffany in March when our puppy was little. She taught us a lot about how to effectively communicate with our dog, and how to encourage confidence in addition to listening. In no time our pup could sit, lie down, stand up, play fetch, be directed to go over/under/up on/down off things, and he always waits for his food til we give him the go ahead. Now Vincent is 14 months old, and his recall is great! We can trust him off-leash in parks. We're planning more sessions soon to keep adding skills now that he's older.
We did a few private training sessions with Kiba K9 and wouldn’t recommend enough. Our excellent trainer, Tiffany, not only was she insightful with behavioral tips but helped us with obedience. Our dog, a rescue from Korea, joined us with very strong fear of the city and its noises. Tiffany helped us be patient yet firm with him. He’s made a lot of progress and that couldn’t have happened without her help and expertise.
