Highly recommended! We commissioned KLN to design and install a custom built-in bookshelf for our home and it turned out beautifully. We were so impressed by their strong craft, attention to detail, and thoughtful communication. KLN will be the first studio we call for any future woodworking projects.
We had the pleasure of working with KLN Studio to design, fabricate, and install a large display at the entrance of our new office—and the result far exceeded our expectations. We came to KLN with a general design concept and criteria, and what they delivered was beyond anything we could have imagined. Their attention to detail—from the overall design vision down to the smallest elements—truly elevated the display.
The finished product is beautifully crafted. It transforms our space, and everyone loves it! The quality of their work is exceptional, and Toby, Sam, and James were fantastic to work with at every stage of the project. They were creative, responsive, accommodating, and clearly committed to delivering excellent results. This past September KLN installed a cash wrap/front counter at our bookstore in Brooklyn (Freebird Books; photos attached). It was beautifully constructed and painstakingly built, truly transforming the space in the shop (which previously was cramped and impractical). Now that a few months have passed, we see even more benefits to its aesthetics and practicality. And the compliments from customers never cease. Huge shout out to Sam Keene and his partners and colleagues for their professionalism throughout the process. We can't recommend them more highly for their craftsmanship.
We have gotten several pieces from KLN in recent years. The “Sally” table was named after my wife, and we are both delighted with it. The top is a gorgeous rock maple with walnut inlay, but the design of the legs has always been my favorite aspect. Both materials and craftsmanship were excellent, and Sam was great to work with on the design. Thanks, Sam, Tobey, and James!
