I have used Kohn Architecture for over 20 years as my go to for my professional offices as well as my personal living spaces. His strength is listening, and once understanding your goals, the ability to design solutions that are right very close to the mark and then you edit based on costs, timing and other variables.
Cost Options
Kohn gives you options at different cost levels, so you can pick what suits you now. I one of my projects, I received an amazing plan but unfortunately could not afford to do it right away, but was helpful to working towards that solution as $ became available.
Selling Tool
On another project it was worth having the design since now that we are selling, I can use the plans to show prospective buyers how the space can be configured differently, if it is line with their tastes.
Btw, great at advising on permits needed and in my case coming to my house to review damage and recommending options.
Kohn architecture is a great resource and they are most interested in building relationships, not transactionally oriented. I would not do another project without getting Kohn's review first!
