If I could give it ‘0’ stars, I would. Based on the most current reviews, there is essentially NO customer service and the people who are running the company and their employees do NOT care about their work. I have called 3x, sent 5 emails with pictures and NO response. They are expensive for what they offer. For 2 new posts and a new latch (which wasn’t even part of the original work order), I was charged over $900. I thought I was getting a new gate (panel) as well with that price. What made matters worse and the primary reason for this review is there was dirt leftover and their employees thought it was a smart idea to dispose it in the back of my clean shed area where I have nice white rocks around it. That dirt should have been carted away in their truck or in a garbage bag. Then at the bottom of one post there is broken up concrete and more dirt. Their lack or responsiveness to my complaint is truly astounding. I went with liberty because they installed the fence around my property about 15 years ago. I was actually told by the employee that the reason my posts cracked and needed to be replaced is because the original workers did not fill the post with concrete all the way to the top, which in my opinion, should’ve been covered under any warranty due to their negligence. If you want a company that is dirty and has no pride in their work or customer service, then this is your place. Otherwise, save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else!!!!
I purchased a fence from Liberty fence (Meacham Ave, Elmont) in 2004, sold at the time with a lifetime warranty on defects. Over the years, I’ve had a recurring defect where the rails disconnect from the post which liberty has serviced in the past, confirming it was treated as a defect.
I’ve also paid without issue for tree damage repairs on two occasions, since that was clearly not a defect.
Now, Liberty is refusing to honor the lifetime warranty and is claiming it is only a 15 year warranty stating they lost older contracts during super storm Sandy. They’re attempting to charge nearly $200 to fix the same defect they’ve addressed before. They want to charge me a “discounted rate” of about $200 for less than 5 minutes of work on this KNOWN defect.
I would like to add, over the years I have never had a positive experience calling the office. The office staff is rude and unprofessional, and I always have to follow up several times before someone gets back to me. This just adds insult to injury.
Look them up on some of your local town Facebook pages and you will see a ton of negative experiences.
Liberty fence continues to disappoint by not standing behind their defective fence and installation.
I would never recommend Liberty to anyone.
These guys were incredible! They got back to my website form really fast, offered a very competitive quote, and were even able to begin earlier than expected. Communication stayed strong the whole time, and the finished result came out better than I imagined! I can’t believe I waited this long— my home’s curb appeal has been completely upgraded!
I had a very positive experience with Liberty Fences. Dennis was great to work with on designing the fence layout, and Anthony came to my home to address a small adjustment promptly and professionally. The fences look fantastic, the team was easy to work with throughout the process, and I would highly recommend them.
Liberty Fence recently installed a 6' Infinity Solid fence with Saturn Scallop top (white vinyl) around the perimeter of my property, and I could not be happier with the work. The salesman was timely and easy to work with, the office kept us updated on potential installation dates, and the installers were neat and professional. The job took two full days to complete and it made our property look better than we anticipated. We were so satisfied with the work that we plan to order vinyl railings for our back steps at a later date.
After reading many of the reviews online, we were hesitant to use Liberty Fence. However, we did not experience any of the problems that were mentioned in some of these reviews. Many of the negative reviews relate to installations that were delayed for weather during the busiest time of the year. Our installation was rescheduled twice due to rain, which I was very happy about. I did not want my newly laid sod trampled on during the torrential rain we were receiving. Our installation was performed in October so we did not experience any delays. If I purchased the fence in the spring or summer, I would expect to be delayed due to the backlog from other customers. If the company did not have a long list of customers ahead of me, I would probably question the quality of the fence and take my business elsewhere.
Overall, my wife and I are very happy with our choice, and we would highly recommend Liberty Fence.
