I’ve called the office for help with my wheelchair for 4 consecutive days, multiple times a day, morning midday and afternoon. Left multiple messages asking for help. No response No assistance.
Most of us have to receive whatever assistance we can get, but if you have the ability to choose, do not go to this clinic. After your first visit you will be discarded
I was hospitalized here for 4 months in rehabilitation given that I broke my spine in 4 places, ended up permanently paralyzed from the chest down, had a frontal and back amputation, had a 3D cranium implanted, was in a coma for 1 month and lost all my memory, but oh my world, this was an amazing stay, I saw doctors from all specialties and they were so polite, informative and help full. I had also spend time in Elmhurst hospital, Montefiore, Monshalo & this one was by far the best. Due to my traumatic brain injury I had forgotten I moved to Manhattan and the physical Theraphist doctor got me an automatic Whekchair and took me out to get a coffee, to my chock I realized I was in the city that never sleeps. Great hospital!
The PT and OT were amazing! Encouraging, supportive and kind!
Some nurses were great. Others- night shift were no so kind or skilled
My cousin is currently admitted there and they have been treating him well! He is recovering from brain surgery and has truly demonstrated progress during his time there. I commend the facility for providing him with the care and support that he truly needed.
Would give zero stars if I could. The whole thing needs to be shut down even the medical facilities. They are negligent to every one including my sister. I wouldn’t wish this place on no one. The people that work there are nasty with no compassion at all. They only come for a check they don’t care about your families. They will let people rott in that place. They need a clean sweep or just shut this facility down. Please just send you loved ones to LIJ OR NYP same them the trouble and trauma. Sorry to the nurses that actually have compassion but to the ones that don’t, you don’t deserve this role it’s not for you, find another profession.
