Was in New York City for the weekend and decided to take some Pilates classes. New York Pilates kept being recommended to me by Google search engine, as well as some friends in the neighborhood. I own a Pilates studio So I get super excited about visiting new Studios! The location was easy to access. The studio was very clean and most importantly the class was amazing! I did their infamous triple AAA class. It was super innovative And I got to try some new moves that I’ve never done before on the reformer. It was not super easy, but it was not super hard . It was the perfect workout to leave you feeling energized after! Super excited to visit again on my next trip!
I have taken a number of pilates class and have a reformer at home. Yesterday I just took my first New York Pilates class at their Flatiron locational and I truly enjoyed it. I love the seating area that I sat in before and after class, the fact that they have a number of cubbies to place your things, changing areas, and bathrooms. This studio had 2 rooms for their classes and I love the lighting as well as the music. My teacher was Izzy who normally does classes out of their West Village location. I let her know that although I was new to the studio I had a reformer at home but not like the one here and she let me know that I would be fine and there would just be a few things that would be different. The time flew by and I loved my class and will be back to try a class out of the West Village as well as the one in Bowery. In addition to a great workout, I love the design of the space as well.
i absolutely love NYP! I've been going for over a year now and have taken classes at most of the Manhattan and Hamptons studios. The classes are a perfect mix of traditional/classic reformer with just enough dynamism and spice to make the classes more challenging than a standard class. The studios are beautiful and the vibes are immaculate! The instructors are all extremely professional and create a very relaxing yet elevated environment.
Their monthly membership is an amazing value and at one point I was going every single day! The locations are also proximate to most train lines, making all of the studios easily accessible. When I recently cancelled due to an out of state move, the customer service was amazing and not only helped me cancel my membership but also offered to reimburse me the class credits for the last month and also gave me a free membership to their online platform so I could continue to keep up with NYP remotely. The customer service representative was a total delight to interact with and I am so appreciative of the online membership.
I absolutely love NY Pilates, especially the Flatiron studio! The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and professional, and I always feel motivated and supported during my workouts.
Alex Osorio is my favorite instructor, she’s highly skilled and knowledgeable, she encourages you to push yourself, but always in a balanced and safe way, and is incredibly kind. I make sure not to miss any of her classes!
I've tried several reformer pilates studios in the city and NYP is by far the best I've ever been to! The space and atmosphere is vibrant, vibes are immaculate, and the instructors are excellent in coaching! I recently tried a few classes with Meredith and she's so sweet and takes the time to dedicate personal attention to everyone and form a great connection. Love her!
