DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FUNERAL HOME! If I could leave less than a star, I would. Taking advantage of grieving people is a special kind of evil living in the heart of the man running this place. He tried to overcharge my family almost an additional ONE THOUSAND U.S. DOLLARS for basic cremation services and became extremely rude and unprofessional when caught in his lie (the price told to us was different from the price on THEIR PAMPHLET). We were not notified when the cremains were ready to be picked up. It was unnecessarily difficult to get the certified death certificates required to travel with my uncle’s cremains and that has delayed the process of taking him back home. Funeral services are a heavy task to undertake and Park Avenue funeral home makes it worse. Avoid at all costs unless you like getting scammed.

Losing my father was the hardest moment of my life, but I am truly grateful for the compassion and care shown by Nicholas and the team at Park Ave Funeral Home. From the very beginning, Nicholas guided me through every step with patience, empathy, and clear communication. He never made me feel rushed or pressured, and he made a painful process feel a little lighter to carry.

What stood out most is that Nicholas genuinely cares about the families he serves. Unlike some funeral homes that feel focused on the financial side, Nicholas put people first. He treated my father with dignity and respected every detail we asked for, making sure the service honored him beautifully.

I will never forget the kindness shown to me and my family during such a difficult time. Thank you, Nicholas, for helping us celebrate my father’s life with grace and compassion.

My grandmother in law was prepared by Park Avenue Funeral Home. This place is by far one the worst funeral home. Let’s start with Nicolas also known as Nick. My husband had discussed a price prior to him picking up my grandmothers body. Upon my sister going to sit down with Nick he advised of the amounts we needed to make the certified banks checks for the check. Come to find out, Nick went up on his price. He did not inform us of this price increase. He waited until he picked up the body to now say that he couldn’t do the amount that was agreed upon.
My husband expressed his concerns and confusion regarding the price increase. In addition, the fact that he had no knowledge of this prior to purchasing the certified bank checks. Nicks reply was “ I could not do the amount I agreed on”. That response was wrong on so many levels. It truly was not the extra money that he was charging, it was the principle of him, thinking that he can raise the price because he had my grandmother’s body in his possession. Nick is money hungry and does not care about his clients. He will tell you whatever he needs to tell you in order to get your family body to his establishment.
On the day of the funeral services, my grandmother‘s body and clothing was soaking wet. It was devastating seeing her in this condition when you go to a funeral hall and pay to have them prepare your family members body, and you not only are not satisfied with the outcome of her body. You see her wet it’s beyond traumatizing..
Word of advice please stay far away from this funeral home. My family and I were not satisfied with Nick services not even a little bit, we were left full of regrets

This funeral home did right by me and my family. When I reached out to other funeral homes to help me with the arrangements of a loved one, they weren't flexible at all. The staff at Park Avenue Funeral Home were compassionate when it was needed the most. I would highly recommend.
