Thank you to the wonderful lady who tried her best to assist me but after being a customer for over 3 years consistently this was the worse experience ever. Will be finding a new Vet and pet store moving forward. ( update) I’m even more irritated because on your website it states you can check out ( IN STORE ) using Klarna but your employees said that’s not true only online orders. So not only did I place an online order I also purchased ( not using Klarna ) in store. Very confusing and frustrating.
nice location. definitely impressive. stocked with everything you could ever need. that being said when i was at the checkout i was purchasing a 25lbs bag of Hill’s Science Diet Weight Management food and they didn’t have any sort of large bag or handle situation to assist in carrying the bag. and then when i asked for one of the reusable bags instead of paper bags for my other items the cashier looked at me like i was crazy and said they only had paper. for a store this stocked with everything i would expect them to have their reusable bags that i get at any other PetCo location. If you were to go to any PetCo location in the city i would say this one is definitely has the most variety and potentially more niche items. while they have some saltwater fish, they don’t sell any saltwater tanks (at least none that were visible on any of the shelves to me). Also im now looking on the website and not sure why the 25lbs bag of food was $105 in store but $94.99 online.
i would urge everyone to support your small business pet supply stores first and foremost. but just as i was, sometimes you’re in a pinch and so you have to concede to buying from the big corp. (the stars are mostly for selection, given everything else mentioned i wouldn’t say i’ll be going out of my way anytime soon to return)
I usually come to this Petco once a week for my animals food and have always found it to be clean and friendly until tonight when I had Kimiko as my cashier the worst I’ve ever had I never even thought that was possible at a Petco. She was super rude when I asked for a receipt and then refused to give me a bag. She said I didn’t ask for one and I would have to pay again, I explained to her that I needed a bag because I bought multiple items and it was a snow storm outside so it wasn’t even reasonable to not offer me one. I didn’t have any cash on me and she wouldn’t give me one she just kept telling me I have to pay even tho it was a see through plastic thin bag that was probably going to break anyway she said they ran out of the paper ones and I needed to pay for this one like it was some type of special bag? This is all while laughing at me the whole time. Very sad experience now I will have to walk far to another pet store with more friendly staff as I wouldn’t trust that person with my animals after how she treated me.
Very upsetting experience. The groomer, Melissa, was unfriendly from the start. There was no communication during a 3+ hour wait, and I was later told grooming “always takes 4 hours,” which was never disclosed. My dog came back visibly stressed and unhappy. She never even finished his legs and feet! I would not have agreed to this service if I had known four hours wait!. I do not recommend this groomer.
Excellent store for cats, dogs and all kinds of other pets. Highly recommend for animal lovers. Cute cats for adoption as well. Store is clean with many merchandise and food for pets, as well as veterinarians on site.
