Ugly, terrible and uneven cut. And his tail is still matted after. I do not recommend. These pics are immediately after picking him up.
Groomer Gustavo ignored explicit instructions. My Aussie's coat will take 1-2 years to recover—if it recovers at all.
Five appointments since April. I have given the same instructions for my 8-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd every time: clean up and shape, but keep her looking like an Aussie. Don't cut her down. At drop-off on January 8, I said this multiple times. I specifically told them I DID NOT want her to look like a Pomeranian....and that my partner loves her pointy ears and the breed specific multi-color appearance.
I picked her up and didn't recognize her. Her entire double coat was clipped to the undercoat. Chest mane, leg feathering, breed silhouette—all gone. When I raised this, staff told me they "only used scissors" and took off "just a little" (holding their thumb and finger up to show the space) That's not consistent with the uniform short cut across her entire body she now has...
My Goldendoodle came out with matts on his chest that weren't there this morning. Since getting home, he's been scooting and licking himself. He was fine when I dropped him off. Our neighbor even said "doesnt even look like they did anything to him".
The guy at the front desk reduced my bill to "the absolute minimum"—which I paid in full—but clearly they knew something was wrong. My partner and I are now looking at a 1-2 year recovery for our senior dog's coat, during NYC Winters, and there's no guarantee it will ever grow back correctly.
I've given these exact instructions at five previous appointments with no issue. This outcome was entirely avoidable.
I would not trust this establishment with your dog's grooming. Before and after photos attached to see the destruction of the beautiful Aussie coat.
Every time I go in I’m always greeted with a warm welcome. The team at pet square always takes care of my two puppies. They have a good variety of food, toys, accessories, cleaning supplies even some over the counter meds for like upset stomachs. This is the only place i will take my puppies to get groomed too! They always come out so clean, and wagging. I give this place 10 stars if i could.
Very nice, genuine people. Reasonably priced nail trim, always very quick, never a wait. They have unique treats. A great fixture of the neighborhood!
Fantastic grooming! My five years old poodle 🐩 looks so handsome after we went for grooming,they are very attentive and always help me to fine the grooming appointment at the time is more convenient to my do to my work schedule so I’m very grateful! Thanks to Sam and the grooming team 🎉
