PetSmart was our choice for training our poodle pup. Kaila Gavin is our trainer. Kaila is patient, professional and skilled. We are learning along with our pup how to practice and master each skill. Kaila teaches us in class once a week then we practice at home. Our 9 month old has accomplished several skills and graduated puppy class. We are now in intermediate class. Instruction takes place in an isolated training room as well as in the isles of the crowded store. The challenge of using a skill in a busy environment helps our pup deal with the real world. Our goal is to have her pass the AKC public access test. Kaila knows the test and is helping us with accomplishing what is required. Can't say enough good things about Kaila.
Kaila, the wonderful, intelligent, talented, knowledgeable, kind, patient and caring resident dog trainer could start her own dog training business.
Petsmart is incredibly fortunate to have her on staff.
I don’t live near that location and found out about her from somebody while I was dropping something off at UPS. I don’t love taking the subway… Especially the extra cost, the crowds and with the dog, etc.
And, from the first puppy lesson— I was sold that the woman at UPS (who had an amazingly sweetly trained puppy) was 1000% accurate in her assessment of Kaila‘s natural ability to work with dogs.
The prices are very reasonable, and I feel so lucky to have found her. In my neighborhood all the K-9 training places or Biscuit & Bath are so expensive and kind of snobby.
There used to be a Petco in my neighborhood. That was also very good but it closed down with Covid.
Thank you, Petsmart for being smart by having Kaila on your staff! If I could give 10 stars, I would give 10 stars easily.
Joubal V. did a wonderful job grooming my Golden Retriever, Nikki. He was very patient, kind, and clearly experienced with dogs. Nikki came back looking handsome, clean, and very well brushed, and you can tell he took his time to make sure everything was done properly. It’s always important to me that Nikki feels comfortable during grooming, and I really appreciated how calm and caring he was with him. I’m very happy with the service and will definitely bring Nikki back again. Thank you, Joubal!
Hazel did a fab job on my Chihuahua/Shih Tzu/Poodle’s skinny nails with overgrown quicks. We’ll be back to see her every two weeks to get them under control. And Hazel’s sweet as pie!
Kentucky has never felt softer and is a million pounds lighter after Hazel deshed and trimmmed him! he seemed really relaxed and comfortable with her! Highly recommend, will be having her take care of my big baby again!
