I’ve been a member here for about 4 years, and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and routine. This place is nothing like a traditional gym—in the best way possible.
From day one, there’s been a real sense of community. The coaches are supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about your progress, no matter your fitness level. It’s the kind of environment where people know your name, encourage you, and celebrate your wins with you.
The workouts are challenging but scalable, so you’re always pushed without feeling overwhelmed. I’ve seen consistent progress over the years, both physically and mentally.
If you’re looking for more than just a place to work out—somewhere you actually want to show up and feel part of something—this is it. Highly recommend.
I've joined many gyms over the years but this is the first one I actually GO to on a regular basis. Part of what makes working out at Speakeasy so transformative is that I actually want to show up consistently because A) I love it B) I can see the difference in my own strength and C) I can feel the difference in how I go through my day, with more energy and clarity. Chad, Jake, and Raj (really all the coaches are awesome but these are the folks I see the most) make working out fun and safe so I lift heavier and push myself just a little harder -- without injury! Someone is always there to correct your form and help you do a move correctly. And the community is the secret sauce -- an incredible mix of hard-working, nonjudgemental, encouraging people who are there in the trenches with you, motivating you to do your best, whatever your best might look like. Love this place!
I’ve been a member since 2017, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It changed the way I think about fitness. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, motivating, and just really fun. The community is so welcoming – it’s full of people at different levels with different goals but who are all supportive of each other. No matter how I feel when I walk through the door, I know I will leave feeling great. I also love that there’s also a Homebody (zoom class) option if I’m traveling or if there’s a reason that I can’t make it into the Clubhouse. I’ve been consistently working out every week for nine years, and that kind of consistency is something I was never able to maintain prior to joining. It’s a great community of humans and a truly magical place.
I joined after maxing out PT for a 2020 car crash. I was looking for a supportive environment for my recovery with instructors who would teach me proper form and good habits with weight training and found that and more with the gym formerly called MFF, now named Speakeasy of Strength.
TBH I’ve stayed since 2021 because of the consistently interesting programming both for the body and mind on Wildcard Wednesdays.
I love the Nudge Judy instructors who know when to challenge me to improve 1% every session with leveled up exercise modifications, or weights I wouldn’t have thought I was capable of deadlifting, rowing, pressing, etc., and on the flip side, I am grateful that over the years, these same instructors have seen me through enough fitness ups and downs to know me well enough to remind me it’s ok to listen to my body if pushing heavy is not my journey for the day.
Speakeasy is more than a gym - it's a welcoming community of fun, authentic people who want to get stronger, be healthier and have a great time doing it. Everyone is kind, welcoming and seriously good at what they do. Leave your makeup at home, just bring some good vibes and maybe a little sass. Worth getting up at 5:45am for!
