I had a great stop in! The staff were very helpful and made sure I got the exact fabric I needed. Looking forward to going back for my next project, thank you!
After putting away the fabrics I was gonna take more than twice (by the store worker). The excuse: (“This is the same color as the one you took out, but the roll is opened”) Just realized it’s NOT & went home with 10 yards of the wrong fabric…
There website suggest you order a sample prior to ordering your fabric. So I order the sample and received it fairly quickly. After receiving the sample it matched some existing fabric I had exactly. I then ordered 4 yards thinking the fabric that I ordered would match the sample. Once I received my fabric it did not match the sample. I emailed them and they said it was an old sample and they would update there samples. I had already cut the fabric before I realized it was not the same fabric. They would not work with me in any kind of way. Do not buy from here.
This review is about placing an order and receiving their samples.
I went to their website to put an order for their samples, and reading the reviews I was worried that the online request would go nowhere. So I called the store about a week later, and the man said he is preparing to mail it out.
I think they are much better at responding to sample request than some of the reviews from a year or years ago.
Mind you, EVERY SINGLE sample book is HAND MADE UPON ORDER. I know this because i have been to their store several years ago and while I was looking at cloth, I have seen the store clerk sit and cut (after looking for and getting each big bolt of cloth) and staple each piece of sample one by one to create a sample book to be mailed out. It is a lot of work as there are 20 pages of like 16 samples per page = 320 pieces to be cut and stapled in the right place. That is a full time job in itself.
When it's so easy for anyone to go oops I clicked on "request for samples".
And they mail out for free. When we know there are places that charge for samples and mailing.
For this reason, please do not lightly place an order for samples for curiosity and fun. It is perhaps also why there is a wait of several days before they can mail out your samples.
So please wait and call if you are worried. But don't leave bad reviews if they are slow to send out.
Such a great spandex fabric store. They had a wide variety of patterns and styles. It's not as crowded as the ones in the garment district. The employees were very helpful and patient. I was like a kid in a games store. Next door is the heroes/ firefighters .
