We used Sweet Basil Catering for our engagement party at a private loft in downtown Manhattan, and they were fantastic to work with. We wanted a caterer who could handle an intimate event while still delivering a polished, restaurant-quality experience—and they absolutely delivered.
They created an all–finger food menu with passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the night. The short rib sliders and burrata crostini were standout favorites, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. They also set up a great charcuterie station and mini desserts that were fantastic.
The team was professional, punctual, and kept everything running smoothly without interrupting the flow of the party, which made it easy for us to actually enjoy the night. We’d happily use them again for another event.

The entire team is professional, they will do a pre-visit to stage everything in advance, give you ideas and experience on how to make the event flow better. The team members are full of passion, friendly, fun, they add a great ambience to the event itself. Making guests comfortable. They sense the flow of the event very well. Besides, I gave a very short notice, and they delivered with a high superior quality!
As dress code, they are great! It gives a great up lift in the quality of the event.
