Preston, helped our daughter gain confidence , analyze strengths and weaknesses and focus on areas that needed a boost, provide strategies in testing, all in a calm environment. In just short 8 weeks Preston helped our daughter gain the confidence to take the 3-hour test successfully. She was accepted at Brooklyn Tech and she is very pleased with her result. The Tutorverse as a company was incredibly helpful with helping us navigate the tutoring and the testing itself. It provided many easy-to-use test practices, which helped Preston and our daughter focus on the areas that needed improvement. Frequent check-ins from Preston or Tutorverse were helpful. We are fortunate to have chosen Tutorverse for the SHSAT preparation.
Highly recommend Tutorverse for SHSAT prep. My son did the online course. It allowed flexibility to prepare while juggling a busy school year and sports. Being able to access recorded sessions was priceless. He got into Stuyvesant which was his top choice.
My son made it into Stuyvesant high school and was grateful for all the advice that the Tutorverse gave him. The practice tests offered by them were a very good replication as to what happened on test day for him and the approximate scaling was also a very nice addition to it. The homework provided was a good way to practice throughout the week without being excessive and tedious. I would highly recommend this prep for anyone who would like to fully support their child with concepts provided and prepare them for what the test will be like.

James is an outstanding tutor — highly intelligent, thoughtful, and exceptionally knowledgeable. My son immediately felt comfortable working with him and consistently found the sessions both engaging and productive. Most importantly, James helped him clearly identify and strengthen his weaker areas in both ELA and math.

We had a great experience with the SHSAT tutoring program for my daughter. One thing we really appreciated was the flexibility they offered. My daughter was able to attend online classes on weekends, which worked perfectly with her summer camp/school schedule and other activities.
The instructors were knowledgeable, engaging, and very attentive to the students. They explained concepts clearly and kept the classes interactive so the students stayed involved. Even though the classes were online, the teachers made sure the kids were participating and understanding the material.
I also appreciated how communicative the instructors were with parents. They would occasionally remind me to ask my daughter to turn on her camera during class and to catch up on any homework she had missed. That extra level of attention really showed that they cared about the students’ progress.
Overall, the program provided strong preparation for the SHSAT while also being flexible and supportive. I would definitely recommend it to other parents looking for a structured yet convenient tutoring option.
