I highly recommend Threshold Studios.
I spent two full days (20 hours total) at Threshold Studios recording an album with a group of ten musicians, and the experience exceeded expectations on every level.
The equipment, setup, and overall energy of the space were outstanding, creating the perfect environment to focus and perform. But what truly elevated the session was Simon, engineer, whose intuition and real-time feedback was exceptional. He was deeply consultative, offering thoughtful guidance on nearly every take and adding to the creative flow. He added so much to our discussion ideas.
We left feeling great about our recordings. We had we had been part of something special. I'm coming back!
We had an excellent experience at Threshold. Responsive booking, high end professional equipment in a creative and chill environment. Simon was our engineer, extremely knowledgeable and a great guy. Will absolutely be back!

Threshold has been the home for 20+ years to all Road Recovery's recording/video projects servicing New York's at-risk youth groups. We've entrusted the state-of-the-art studio (loaded with classic gear) and its expert/caring engineers and producers for our charity's creative collaborations and drop-ins with music industry legends [i.e. Slash, Darryl DMC McDaniels, James Hetfield, Fred Schneider (The B-52's), John Taylor / Roger Taylor (Duran Duran), Smokey Robinson, and many more]. And the studio owner's has a heart full of gold!
Threshold Recording Studios is a Gem in the middle of NYC!….The Professionalism, The Vibe, The Gear, The Room and The Final Mix all went Above and Beyond my expectations!
The owner James was welcoming and made everything happen at a moments notice…And Simon was a great Engineer (with really good ears) and was an absolute pleasure to work with!
I highly recommend this Studio and cannot wait to return with more projects!
