As it is my very 1st time having a massage it's really a gamble trying a massage therapist in New York City specially after hearing the horrible experiences that my friends had with their previous massage therapists. My first session with Eddie was genuinely exceptional from start to finish. The experience was professional, relaxing, and exactly what I needed for my body as a 1st timer. From the moment I arrived, Eddie made me feel completely at ease and very comfortable had me in a very relax state before we even start. Our session didn’t feel rushed it felt like he was genuinely interested in tailoring the session to my body’s needs. I walked out feeling lighter and incredibly grounded. If you’re looking for someone who actually listens to your concerns and delivers a no-nonsense personalized massage, I cannot recommend Eddie enough. Seriously I wrote this review today 5/8 had the massage today, I've already booked my next session for 5/15 next Friday.
I somehow found Eddie by chance great location and a true professional.
He has strong, confident hands and, most importantly, he is actually listens. You can explain where you feel pain and he will work on that area until you genuinely feel relief.
He offers different techniques: deep tissue massage (my personal favorite), cupping therapy, hot stone massage, and relaxing massage. The deep tissue sessions are especially effective you feel the difference immediately.
The only downside is that sessions are limited to 90 minutes sometimes you want more. But overall, the quality of his work is excellent. Highly recommend.

I'm writing an honest review with specific descriptions and areas that need improvement.
Starting from the beginning: when I arrived, there wasn't a proper sign, and I had to send a text message to have the door opened. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning.
Eddie was very nice. He welcomed me into the room and then stepped out so I could get ready. He returned after about 4–5 minutes.
The first thing I noticed when I lay on the bed was that he placed a disposable face cover on top of a fabric surface. That is not hygienic, because whatever is underneath cannot be properly cleaned between clients.
He also used a massage gun with a sponge attachment that does not appear to be cleanable(It's made from a sponge-like fabric that absorb oil and other materials Buddy liquids and cannot be properly cleaned. It needs to use a non-porous material for it to be hygienical and be able to properly cleand). That means it’s being used on many people without proper sanitation, which is not hygienic.
As for the ambience and appearance: the room was simple and looked okay. The music was very low. I kept hearing a noise outside that I initially thought was a washing machine, but later realized it was a very loud white noise machine in the hallway.
Regarding the quality of the massage and the therapist's knowledge: on a scale of 1 to 10, based on my experience, I would rate it about a 5. Not terrible, but not great. He can definitely apply enough pressure. He mainly used friction techniques with his elbows.
When I asked him to work on a specific area, he seemed confused. He did not appear to know the muscle names or how they connect, so the work on the injured area was not very good, to say the least.
He only worked on the back side(And he reply in a very immature way as you can see on the bottom and he does not understand that the back side is the entire back part of the body)
of my body. For some reason, the injured area was only worked on for about five minutes. He did include a brief face massage.
I was a bit surprised to see only five-star reviews. I'm not sure what that's about.
If the hygiene issues are addressed, at least it wouldn't be a health concern. I would also suggest verifying that he has a valid massage license.
And it's subjectively very difficult to find a proper massage therapist regardless of license.
It takes a lot of knowledge, talent, communication and other skills to be "good" massage therapist.

I am from the Boston area and often go to New York City for long weekends. I have been looking for a Manhattan massage therapist and so happy that I found Eddie! Eddie is professional, friendly and kind and the massage was one of the best that I have ever had. Eddie knew exactly what my body needed even without me saying anything. I loved how convenient it was to book on his website. I strongly recommend Eddie and will be back frequently!
Eddie is absolutely incredible at his craft. He is a true healer and I leave sessions with not only my physical body feeling so much lighter, but also my spirit and energy. He is kind and truly cares about the well-being of his clients. I also always sleep so incredibly well after our sessions. As a performing artist, maintaining my physical health is so important and he always helps my body feel more open and aligned. I am so grateful to him and will not go to any other massage therapist in NYC!
