Joseph was amazing. He designed and custom-built a whiskey rack for our apartment and it is spectacular. I get so many compliments on it and its a highlight to the room.
He was very involved and iterative in the design-phase and worked with us to create a one-of-a-kind-piece that was all we could have hoped for.
The quality of the piece is extremely high and, since it's made out of steel, should last forever. Also, he was on-time and on-budget (which was appreciated).
We were so happy, we've had other custom pieces done by Joseph and they also came out great. We would definitely recommend him to everyone who needs custom work done.
Joe designs beautiful and extremely well made pieces. We approached Joe to make one of his consoles for a client which came out beautifully, and the process of working together was great. We requested some minor customizations and overall the piece is a functional piece of art. Joe was easy to work with, knowledgeable and has a great eye. I highly recommend Joe Cauvel at CAUV Design for custom furniture. I reached out to Joe with a shell of an idea about recreating a mid-century furniture piece with more modern elements. He responded promptly with a design that captured the essence of the piece with some of his trademark stylistic choices. We then spent several days bouncing ideas back and forth until we arrived at a design with which I was happy. He was never pushy about idea choices or timing, and always provided excellent feedback. I really cannot stress how great the communication was from start to finish. The piece of furniture was built in a timely fashion and with excellent craftsmanship. It's also great to hear how he works with local businesses to source the material. I would not hesitate to work with Joe again for any future custom furniture ideas.
