Highly recommend CityMD near 23rd St. Me and my 7 years old went there for the first time as her earring got stuck in her skin and it got infected badly. We were very stressed and worried.
Place was very clean, Receptionist was welcoming and friendly and he answered my questins.
Nurse was friendly and empathetic.
John Han seemed very knowledgeable, friendly and empathetic. He was able to get earring out safely and was very nice to us.
Overall we had the best experience so far in this urgent care and will be back. Highly recommend.
Stay AWAY. These people use scammy tactics to overcharge. I asked several times how much simple diagnostic tests will be covered by my insurance and how much I will have to pay out of pocket. Nobody could answer. A week later, they send me a bill for over $300 for a 10 minute test that will not be covered by insurance which is Aetna. This place is out of network for most insurance despite their lies on their website. They will code the services incorrectly to scam you out for more money than claim insurance reimbursement.
I’ve come to citymd a couple of times and this experience has been the worst one yet. I was seen by PA Anthony Huff. He was possibly the worst physician I have ever seen in my life. I was telling him that I felt faint and requested that my chair be put in a laying position so I didn’t fall if I passed out. The nurse was about to do it and he stopped her and said he wanted to do his exam FIRST. I had incredibly bad mouth and throat pain with an enlarged tongue. He took a look in my mouth for quite literally one second. And then refused to give me any recommendations on what to do to alleviate the pain and instead almost yelled at me for not going to an allergist or the ER. He essentially said that he refused to give me any sort of treatment because I should have gone to the ER. THEN to put my chair back he moved me to another room. I told him I felt really weak and requested I keep my stuff in the room because I had a heavy backpack with me. He refused to let me keep my stuff in the room and forced me to carry my stuff. When I requested that he look at my throat again because I was in pain and can feel that there was something wrong, he said “I’ve looked at your throat already. I will not look at it again”. He spent not even 5 minutes talking to me and seemed angry that was passing out.
I always feel I can rely on CitiMD and fortunately the wait isn’t very long. They have extended hours with quite a few locations. The staff and the doctors I’ve encountered have all acted in a very professional manner, showing both empathy and skill. One of my physicians suggested I follow up with urgent care, and this is my go-to place when I can’t get an immediate appointment with my primary care physician.
One of the best ones I’ve gone to. Front staff was incredibly patient checking me in and also helping to get me a follow up appointment at a different provider. Intact was a lovely person and felt heard as well. Dr listened to me and I felt was very thorough in his review. Office is clean! And the appointment was efficient with minimal waiting. Highly recommend this location.
