Jenny is an INCREDIBLE trainer. She worked patiently, consistently, methodically, joyfully, and sensitively with my rescue dog, Boots. Boots is challenging—she has a range of behavioral issues, including being territorial around food, reactive to sounds outside, having trouble settling down, and needing to learn a host of commands. Jenny made amazing progress with Boots—teaching her to orient towards a resting place, helping her decompress, giving her regulation tools when she gets reactive, helping us both to improve her leash and play manners, and on. Most importantly, it’s clear that Boots LOVES working work Jenny. She was always appropriately challenged and deeply engaged, focused, tail wagging. I couldn’t recommend Jenny more highly.

Robert has been life changing as we train a beloved and mischievious pup. He seems to have an intuitive way with dogs, and knows exactly how to guide us toward better manners & behavior. I like also that he is responsive to what we has her humans need to accomplish too. A joy to work with! Heartily recommend!

Robert at Dogboy NYC is an exceptional dog trainer, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. From the moment we started, he was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that was clear and easy to follow. He didn’t just work with my dog during the session—he gave me practical, useful tools that I could confidently apply at home.
My dog, Clio, took to him immediately, which says a lot about his calm and approachable demeanor. Before working with Robert, walking Clio on a leash was a complete nightmare. I was honestly shocked that after just one hour, she was like a completely different dog—calmer, more focused, and so much easier to handle.
He also helped us make great progress with essential commands like drop, come, and stay. What really stood out was how effective and efficient his methods were without ever feeling overwhelming.

We are so grateful to have discovered Dogboy!! We have been working with Rob on training our puppy for the past few months and he has been an invaluable resource and source of support! She is our first puppy and Rob's deep knowledge and experience has been an absolute guiding light for us! Training sessions with Rob have been amazing because he gets to know your dog and your specific household and routine, and works directly on customized goals and concerns that you might have with your pup. He also makes really helpful suggestions on general training and useful behaviors to work on and points you to resources on anything you might need to learn more about. He also uses parts of training sessions to help teach us how to train her better at home as well or continue practicing what she has learned more effectively. Rob has also been so generous with his time for questions, concerns, and general tips even between training sessions to support us as she grows and we encounter new things!! We couldn't recommend him and Dogboy more highly.

Another standout is Rob’s follow-up. He sends clear, specific training videos that reinforce what you’ve learned and help guide both you and your pup between sessions. Those resources have been invaluable to us over the years.

And a huge shout-out to Rob’s wife, Kim Haussmann, who is also fantastic. Kim handles scheduling and billing seamlessly, and she is always kind, responsive, and genuinely loving toward both clients and dogs.
