Empire provided the worst service and experience of furnishing a new office. Every meeting we had was spent correcting our sales rep, Ashtyn’s mistakes…the same mistakes she kept making over and over. Each call made us feel like we were wasting her time, and she clearly didn’t care as she kept messing up our order. Honestly, we were not confident placing our order as it was very confusing. None of the employees listened to anything we said. Also, they were terrible to follow up with. We were lucky to get a response once a week – No respect for our move in date / deadline for our project. And every order and delivery and installation had mistakes. Even sent one piece of furniture to the wrong address. Seems like this company and employees are more interested in internal “girlbossing” and fun workplace atmosphere for themselves rather than focusing on clients.
Terrible service. Someone came to repair my office chair, ended up breaking the recline mechanism and damaging my hardwood floor. Account manager seemed unsympathetic to situation and sent another person to "teach" me how to use a chair I have had for over two years - I think I would know how to use this chair by now.
Chair is in a locked recline state, photo of broken chair was sent via email and Empire Office is still questioning if it's broken after the service technician broke the mechanism.
Avoid doing business here…. Stress and frustrations
I'm thinking of reporting this company as it sounds like a scam to me. They are very quick to take your order and money but they never follow up, give you wrong estimates, up charge you with stupid fees. after placing an order almost a year ago, they still need to send us missing items but keep requesting for a payment.
Samantha and the entire team there is just a total waste of time. I would not recommend them to anyone, you should look somewhere else to get your furniture.
I worked with a broker at Empire Office. I was trying to place a very simple order from Steelcase. The broker met with me at the showroom and I picked out the order quite quickly and was ready to place my order almost immediately. But over the course of several months she ignored emails to place my order no matter how polite or patient I was. I figured she must have something going on in her life to be so unprofessional but she kept assuring me she would get to my order. 3 months later and still nothing despite several reassurances. I suspect the order is small enough that she feels it is not worth her time. I politely asked Empire to work with another broker to complete the order but no response. Very frustrating for what should be a very simple process. I'm simply confused and annoyed as I almost never have issues in general as I believe I try to be polite and attentive on my end and usually the other party is as well.
