Dr. Lina Cawog and her staff are the best! I had an urgent eye issue and she was able to squeeze me in quickly, then made the time to see me again the next day. I was very happy with the low wait times. She took me/my issue very seriously and made me feel listened to and cared for. Plus the office is gorgeous and the staff are very friendly. Thank you Dr. Cawog and team! I will be back!
They doctors and staff at Eyes on Second pack a lot of care and love into a tiny storefront office. Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable staff greet you and help you navigate through insurance matters as well as frame and lens choices. Everyone there makes you feel completely comfortable. The doctors and technicians are familiar with your case (if you're a returning patient) and thoroughly examine your eyes with (what seems to me to be) state of the art equipment. I'm very grateful that this establishment is around!!
I had a great experience with Dr. Fenella Shneur during my recent eye checkup. The office is nice but feels a little cramped. Before meeting her, an assistant took pictures of my eyes for a small extra copay, which I preferred instead of getting my eyes dilated. Dr. Shneur later reviewed the pictures with me and clearly explained what they showed about my eye health.
She took her time to make sure my new reading glasses were the right fit and answered all my questions patiently. I really liked how she ended the visit by encouraging me to keep up yearly checkups. She is caring, thorough, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend her.
I have been seeing Dr Irina for as long as I’m wearing glasses, which is I believe since 2013. She’s is absolutely fabulous! Not only she’s a great doctor but also helps me with picking the best frames for my face, she has impeccable taste. The frames in store is always so cool and a great variety! I highly recommend to go to Eyes on Second - you won’t be disappointed (to say the least) You will love it! P. S. Extra points to all who works in store - everyone is so friendly and makes you feel heard and seen!
Very terrible experience. I frequently use Zocdoc to book my appointments and did so in order to meet with Dr. Cawog. The front Desk called me 40 minutes before my appointment and asked me to change my appointment time to an earlier time. They did this outside of the app that I used to book and after I changed my appointment I arrived to my appointment within our appointment window and they proceeded to rush my explanation of benefits and indicated that I would be charged an exorbitantly high co-pay. When I pushed back on this and asked to make a call to my insurance - because I knew this was incorrect - they rushed me and explained very rudely that I could just do my appointment and figure out the insurance details afterwards. The doctor was impatiently running around while waiting for me to have this conversation and finally came out and loudly, in front of other patients, told me that calling my insurance would make no difference. I ended up rescheduling my appointment because I refuse to be scammed by an optometrist, and this was my first time venturing out from my usual optometrist from that retired.
I would absolutely not recommend this practice or her and feel very embarrassed because of this experience. I’m glad that I had the foresight to leave the appointment and upon returning home, canceled the follow up appointment that they had booked me for no one said a kind word during that time, and I was treated as if this was an inconvenience, even though I did them a favor by shifting my appointment earlier so that they would be able to take in another client. to make matters worse they reached out to Zocdoc and let them know that I was a no-show at my appointment which put my account in jeopardy of being closed. I had to reach out separately to Zocdoc to let them know that this was incorrect and that I had in fact arrived at my appointment. Please be aware of this practice.
