I highly recommend Masterpiece Caterers. They catered a recent event of mine at Glasshouse Chelsea and everything was done perfectly. The food and bar were set up well in advance (so no rushing!) with a lovely presentation, the food was delicious, the staff was warm and professional and they were absolutely a pleasure to work with!
Had the unpleasant experience of visiting one of the cafes ( Cafe 55) to get toast from the grill and Angel was extremely rude and nasty to me at 9:33am. Refused my service because I asked him if he cut my toast with the same knife he used cut another customers egg sandwich and he replied yes. After I kindly explained that I was allergic, and that was cross contamination so I can’t eat that, he became irate and with an attitude said I was supposed to tell him, in which I specifically remember leading with that information. As an avid restaurant goer, I am always careful to lead with that information as it is hazardous to my health. He became unbelievably irate threw my toast and refused to make another (at this point) yelling that he could not help me and he had nothing else for me and proceeded to walk away into the back room. This is unacceptable and no one especially not in an establishment of this status should treat another this way. I want to speak to someone IMMEDIATELY!!
My husband and I hosted our wedding at India House with Masterpiece Caterers over a year ago. I am a wedding planner in NYC and so there was not a question in my mind on who I would go to for our NYC wedding. Kevin is unbelievably reliable, professional and beyond knowledgable that there is no other person I could trust with our special day more than him. He puts his best foot forward always and cares about your day just the same as you do. I would highly recommend this location and caterer to anyone looking to have a beautiful, elegant, stress free, and amazing wedding and experience!
We had our wedding with Masterpiece Caterers at 1 Hanover Square/India House and our contact was Kevin. He's amazing - communicative & prompt, and tries to be as accommodating as possible. The staff was very attentive, professional, and went out of their way to ensure a smooth wedding day for us. I surveyed a good amount of guests after the wedding and they all raved about the food & service. One guest described the service as very classy. We're really happy to have had our wedding with Masterpiece Caterers & the India House/1 Hanover Square.
