I hired Ng Fook group to arrange my dad's funeral. The Funeral Director Mr. Chan was super compassionate and professional. Mr. Chan and his staff guided us through the entire process. I sincerely appreciate all of their dedicated work.

We did some pre-planning for my Mom several months earlier as we visited two other funeral parlors on the same block. Upon her passing, we contacted Ng Fook as we chose them to handle the entire process.

We later met with Alex Lee who explained to us the options available to prepare the decease one's funeral viewing. There is a price list outlining the costs for each service such as casket, makeup, hair, flowers, embalming, music band, monks to chant, room size, etc. There is no pressure to buy or add anything you don't feel comfortable spending money on. Alex then told us what the customs are with a Chinese wake and funeral explaining step by step such as greeting all arriving guests, bowing, incents, joss paper money, knelling before the casket, waist and arm bands for the family, small flower to hold onto for 3 days, meals for the family after the service, etc. There is even an obituary section on their website showing information about the deceased, the viewing times and the final resting place.

Everything starts to add up but we had an idea of what to pay beforehand as it was important for us to pick the right place for my Mom's wake.

Upon the final stop at the cemetery, the staff continued with guiding us with what to do, positioning the family at the chapel, coin inside the envelope, consuming a piece of candy, stepping over a small flame, etc.

Being in this business, the staff has to deal with constant sadness, stress, unhappiness, grief and turnovers of their customers. But it was assuring that everything went well making the entire ordeal manageable for my family and that my Mom was able to reach her final destination and to rest in peace. I recommend Ng Fook Funeral service when that time comes for your love ones.

Alex Lee at Ng Fook guided us through the planning to the actual services. The staff there were very knowledgeable and polite. It made the whole thing sailing smoothly. We had enough time to plan things as we wished and Alex always welcome us whenever we stopped by for questions. Could not be happier to have the funeral service there.

Alex Lee and the staff at NG Fook went above and beyond to ensure our father's services ran smoothly. We couldn't have asked for better service especially juggling between English and Canto customs. Alex smoothly transitioned into the role after our initial director unexpectedly went on sick leave. Alex was beyond knowledgeable and helpful with his guidance through the confusing logistics of insurance, cemetery deeds and claims, etc. Funerals are not cheap, but they didn't push any hard sells. Everything was clearly explained and itemized. The estimated times for each part of the day flowed smoothly like clockwork! Professionals for sure!

I wanted to express my concerns regarding this specific branch on Mulberry St. My friend's father recently passed away and unfortunately this place was the only option that worked for them. My friend had so many issues with the manager, Weng Chan. Mr. Chan expressed no empathy or compassion throughout the whole ordeal. I mean, people that come here are grieving, if you make the whole situation worst off for them when they are dealing with enough, that shows what kind of person you are. He was rude, condescending and talked down to people. To make matters worse, he would ask for tips without even providing any real service/guidance. It was heart breaking to witness my friends grieving and still had to deal with this disservice. Do better!

I would not recommend this place as I wouldn't want anyone to experience the rude service this location provided.
