In celebration of Labor Day, I’d like to praise the people of Olympic Fence (our installers) and Trex Fencing (our suppliers). We couldn’t be happier with our new fence and the service we received from both companies.
Our journey started with Trex Fencing because we wanted an environment-friendly alternative to the hardwood fencing most of our neighbors had. We fell in love with Trex because in our small backyard alone there are 100,000 fewer plastic bags in the ocean potentially choking turtles. We love the look of the alternating depths of the slats so we don’t feel like we are sitting inside a box. And the no maintenance aspect is a dream for us. It will likely outlive us without us ever having to sand or paint! Tyler was wonderful at answering all my questions, including “Who can we get in New York City to install it?”
Enter Olympic Fence. I loved them from the first phone call with Vicky. She was so efficient at getting the information they needed. She didn’t know the answer to a question I asked and said “I’ll call you back”. Within a half hour, she did! (Unexpectedly prompt service in NYC!)
Olympic’s estimator, Carl, was on time, efficient, pleasant and witty. Their proposal was more reasonable in turn-around time, price and estimated time to completion than the two other quotes I got. The workers showed up when they said they would, they worked around all our backyard furniture, and they finished in a miraculous 1 day! (The other quotes were 2-4 WEEKS!)
They did make a mistake that caused my neighbor some concern, but they came back two days later to fix it (they would have been back the very next day except it poured rain all day).
That’s what I call excellent service: do what you say you are going to do, do it on time, do it well, and if the inevitable mistake occurs, take responsibility and fix it ASAP. As I said, we could be happier.
(Oh, and as the second photo shows, the neighbor kids on the other side if the fence like it too!)
Olympic Fence just completed a major fence installation for me at our company's commercial property: Installing approximately 200' of 8' high steel fencing and poles. They are also removed 2 pre-existing fences that were each about 200' long. In additon, they installed a rolling gate across my commercial driveway. To be honest, I find it amazing that the full scope of work was completed in just two work days. What a hardworking crew; and equally professional. I now have a stunning showpiece of a fence, done at an incredibly reasonable cost, and to super high standards. I always try to use the best vendors available for all of my projects, and Olympic sure met those standards. Kudos, and thanks to a great family owned and operated neighborhood business! I want to take this opportunity to thank Charlie, Juan and Monty for an excellent job done. These men were professional, friendly and eager to please the customer. They explained everything they planned to do, and it made me feel very confident that I was in good hands.

It’s only been one full day that the railings have been up, and I’ve received loads of compliments already!!!

I did a bit leg work trying to find a contractor that I might trust. I seen reviews for Olympic and decided to go with them. There are reviews that say the lady on the phone is rude. This is not true. I found her to be very straight forward and easy to talk with. I called and they sent someone over to review and quote the job. The quote was reasonable and the expectation that it would commence in 3 to 4 weeks was made very clear. As the third week approached I called to let them know I would be away on vacation soon. The lady assured me that my place in queue would not be lost and that they would schedule my job with priority. While away I received a call on Monday. Mike was very apologetic for the wait. I told him that the expectation was set and not to apologize, they were right on time. I told Mike I would be back next Tuesday and he put my job in for Wednesday. Wednesday came and by 9 AM I called worried that they may have lost my appointment. Nope, they said they were on their way. Long story short, they came, they removed the old fence, they installed the new fence, they cleaned up. A great crew led by Cesar. The work was flawless and the fence looks great. I recommend Olympic Fence.
