I have been looking around for a great mechanic in the upper East side for some time now... I feel like I finally found one at Pleasant Auto Repair on 119th street /1st Ave. (Mr. Tulio and Arturo) They helped me to diagnose the loud noise that was coming from underneath my jeep Renegade (a Faulty brake and Rotor as well as a broken linkage) and also helped me to address the vibration that occurred when the car was stopped at the light (broken motor mount). I appreciated the way they took the time to talk me through the various issues, (the way they saved the replaced parts for my inspection, and how they presented me with options to keep the cost of repairs down. I found their work to be outstanding, and their prices to be very fair especially for New York City!! I highly recommend this place to everyone and plan on returning here for all my oil changes and repair needs moving forward!! Eddie B.
Manufacture dealership couldn’t find the noise and this guys found out and replace the part with Manufactured part since then I bring all my cars to them Mr Tulio and Arturo are the legends there are no more mechanics like them.
Was charged $300 for a motor mount and spark plugs. Motor mount was fixed and we assumed the spark plugs were, too. Days later, the ignition coil was messing up, and he told us it needed to be fixed. We decided to go to a different mechanic for s second opinion. When we went, he said that the coil wouldn’t do any good because the spark plugs needed to be changed. We told him the previous mechanic charged us to have them fixed, and when we looked, all of the spark plugs were old and worn. Nothing was new. I can’t believe this.
Tulio is my go to guy. He runs an honest business and has fair prices. I've been a customer for over 5 years and would not think of taking my car somewhere else.
