I’ve never had an experience with doulas until i got to my second pregnancy due to my personal support being away, but i can say this first time experience was very helpful. The doula i had named Yaumera was very supportive and nice, made me feel like she was there for everything from appointments to baby and even birth and throughout pregnancy advice . 5 stars for her all around.
As a first-time mother, having my doula Yaumera by my side meant everything to me. Yaumera supported me emotionally, physically, and mentally throughout my pregnancy, labor, and delivery. She made me feel calm, confident, and cared for during such a life-changing experience. Her encouragement and guidance helped me through moments when I felt scared or overwhelmed. I truly don’t know what I would’ve done without her support. I’m forever grateful and would highly recommend her to any mom, especially first-time moms. Thank you so much for being there for me and my baby! 💕
My doula Mera was instrumental in my journey as a first time mother. I knew I wanted a doula and had no idea what to expect, but she exceeded every expectation that I had! She not only recommended the perfect hospital to advocate for my birth, but she was an essential resource when I needed recommendations and advice. My birth was beautiful and smooth, I was impressed with my capabilities while empowered in her care. I recommend anyone especially women of color to seek her out, she is a MANDATORY standard for women like me.
My doula Mera was there for me when I needed her the most. She was my advocate when I was too shy to ask for what I needed. She is warm, loving, and kind to both me and my partner. I’m so thankful for her pre and post partum. she supported me through my postpartum period when my support system was not able to. If she wasn’t there I would have ignored the symptoms of preeclampsia. Mera went above and beyond she’s like family to us. Thank you.
Dekya at Mothership NYC Doula Services is AMAZING! She assisted me on very short notice with placenta encapsulation, and the entire experience was incredible from start to finish. She is extremely sweet, super informative, accommodating, and always available to answer any questions I had, which made the process feel so comfortable and stress-free.
I was referred to her by my doula, and it was truly one of the best recommendations I received. I felt completely safe and at ease working with her, and every step of the process was simple and seamless. I chose to have my placenta made into pills and powder, and everything was handled with such care and professionalism.
When I received my placenta back, I was also gifted a special custom gift that was incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and memorable, it really meant so much to me.
