Like many people, I have accumulated some old electronic equipment, and was looking for a safe way to dispose of it with out affecting the environment. The Town of Hempstead event with green chip was exactly what I was looking for. The event was very well organized, and I did not even have to get out of my car. There were more than enough staff on hand to unload my car quickly. Well done!
Great facility. Very well run. The lines moved so fast. All the workers are so accommodating and concerned they're taking the correct stuff from your trunk. Thank you!!

My county held an e-waste collection event and I was able to drop off a large box filled with various electronic devices. So glad to be able to dispose of them responsibly. Thanks Bergen County!
Today's e waste drop off experience at Lido Beach (Town of Hempstead) went very smoothly once I got to the site.
It took less than 30 seconds to recycle my emails waste.
One suggestion....please use more signage to exactly show where the site is.
I went to three other beach parking lot areas on the strip before I found where I needed to go.
It was hard to see the site from the main street.
This is a very well organized way to bring pollutants from home to responsibly get rid of old paints, spray cans, etc.. A great way to clean up at home. I only wish it was better advertised in the Town of North Hempstead. I personally go out of my way to look up the STOP events but they are not obvious.
While the cars were lined up (a good thing), it also moves very quickly and very smoothly. Thank you!!
