When I first came here for an interview, Tamara was not there yet at the office, so a woman named Tracy came out and asked if I was waiting for Tamara. I said yes. Then she said if I was okay with working with men. I said yes, and she sized me up and down and said she is only going on what she sees. I am a Muslim and I wear the niqab. Just because Muslims cover themselves and just because people think they know our religion, they have no right to comment on anything they don’t know.
I responded with, I am providing care; therefore, it’s considered a good deed. I did the interview. Tamara seemed reasonable, not friendly, but just a woman doing her job. After I left, I needed to complete some medical forms that she sent via email. I went to my doctor’s office today to get the form filled out on 04/28/2026. When I showed my doctor the paper, she said this was an unprofessional physical form. It didn’t have the license number, the phone number, nor the proper letterhead. My doctor explained to them that they need to fax a proper letterhead.
Tamara and another woman, which I think was Tracy because I remember her voice, started getting really unprofessional and raising their voices. You would think that these two women were from the streets by the way they were talking. Then they started being rude to me and raising their voices and laughing at me, and I let them know that I don’t know why they are talking to me this way when I am telling them what my doctor needed.
She then said, “I will call back in one hour after you guys have calmed down.” Excuse me? Oh FYI, they never called. I am making this review because people who want to work for this company, especially the one in the Financial District, should be able to work with professional people and not unprofessional people. And for the ones who want services from this agency, they should pick another agency.
I called corporate management, and unfortunately, since this agency at this location is independently owned, I have to make a complaint with the manager or supervisor at this location, which makes no point because if Tamara and Tracy act this way, just imagine the higher up—probably even worse. Stay away from this place. The ladies here are bad-mannered and unprofessional.
Our clients provided positive feedback working with this agency. Their home health aides and administrative staff were responsive to their needs.
Right At Home cares deeply for their clients. The aides we are working with are exceptional. Highly skilled, kind, patient, creative, and easy to communicate with. The office team is also a pleasure to communicate with. Easy to reach and collaborative. As a geriatric care manager this kind of experience is invaluable. I can recommend Right At Home without hesitation!
The team at Right at Home of Lower Manhattan has been providing great care for my Dad for the past 4 years. The caregivers who have worked with us have been empathetic, experienced, and reliable, and the administrators and staff unfailingly responsive, thoughtful, and quick to act in case of emergencies. I have recommended the team to several friends who have all been equally impressed. My family and I could not be more grateful.
Right at home provided great care for my husband while I was out of town. They ensured he took his medications, provided meals, and took care of his hygiene. I met two of the care givers briefly, and spoke to all of them, and was reassured my husband was in good hands. One of the care givers called me and helped work through an episode of sundowning. Together, we got him through it. I recommend Right at Home.
