Farida is amazing!! Help turn my mom’s wedding dress into a night before dress - it came out perfect! She is a true artist! Going back to have her alter my actual wedding dress as well.
I can understand being wary of a place charging high end prices. With this place don’t. Your not paying high just because it’s in Manhattan your paying for the craftsmanship and the trust that they will allow the vision you have to come true. I’ve been here three times and not once have they not reassured and rechecked within the process to make sure they got how I wanted my pants to fit.
Absolutely loved my experience! Jess is very detailed oriented and helps you understand how your clothes work. I had a bespoke suit that I grew out of, and Jess helped me not just resize, but altered it such that it fits my current build better. I would visit them again for my future alterations and perhaps even a bespoke suit!
We have been going to Kai for months now. I had recently acquired a vintage leather jacket and the inner lining was in very rough shape. Old, stiff, stained, torn. I took it to Kai and they were able to not only replace the liner but maintain the label and pocket on the inside. The material is beautiful, lightweight, and smooth like silk. Couldn't be happier! I have a smaller stature and many of the clothes I like to wear do not fit properly even though I've purchaseed them in my size. From hems, to collar repositioning, sleeve tapers, body tapers, Kai has been my most trusted tailor in achieving the perfect fit in my clothes every single time.
